Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Host/Busser to join our team. As a Host/Busser, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant. Your main responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, assisting with bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor upon arrival
- Escort guests to their designated tables and present menus
- Assist in bussing tables by clearing dishes and resetting tables for the next guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including wiping down tables and chairs
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service
- Answer phone calls and take reservations as needed
- Assist in other tasks as assigned by management to support the overall operation of the restaurant
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide a positive dining experience for guests
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests, coworkers, and management effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and basic food safety guidelines is a plus
