Full Job Description

Job Summary
The Optometric Assistant plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support within an optometry practice. This position involves assisting the optometrist before examinations, managing medical records, and ensuring a smooth flow of operations in the office. The ideal candidate will be coachable, friendly and reliable.

Duties

Assist the optometrist by pretesting the patient.
Manage and maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Teaching contact lens insertion and removal.
Ensure the examination room is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Support the optometrist in scheduling appointments and follow-up visits.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective patient communication.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support.
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
