Duties

Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes and menu plans, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist with menu planning by suggesting nutritious options that meet dietary guidelines and customer preferences.
Handle food with care, following strict safety standards to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling procedures.
Support food preparation activities including cooking, portioning, plating, and serving meals in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, adhering to safety regulations in production environments.

Skills

Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide within healthcare or food service settings.
Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations.
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including food handling and sanitation protocols.
Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for meal preparation, food safety management, and catering services.
Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques that ensure efficiency and precision during food prep.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with kitchen operations that require adherence to strict safety standards and quality control.
