Full Job Description

Business Operations & Accounting Manager

The Business Operations & Accounting Manager serves as a strategic business partner responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, process improvement, operational efficiency, and administrative functions across the organization. This position combines financial leadership with operational excellence to ensure accurate financial management, scalable business processes, and exceptional internal customer service.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role collaborates with leadership to improve operational performance, strengthen internal controls, support organizational growth, and drive continuous process improvement.

Essential Responsibilities Financial Operations

Manage daily accounting operations while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Monitor financial performance and identify operational improvement opportunities.
Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, and vendors.

Business Operations

Evaluate operational workflows and recommend efficiency improvements.
Develop and document standardized operating procedures.
Improve internal controls and financial processes.
Support strategic business initiatives through operational analysis.
Assist with cross-functional projects across multiple locations.
Identify opportunities to automate administrative processes.
Monitor departmental performance metrics and key performance indicators.

Leadership & Collaboration

Partner with department leaders to improve operational performance.
Provide financial and operational guidance to leadership.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Support organizational initiatives and change management efforts.
Collaborate across Finance, Human Resources, Fixed Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership.

Reporting & Analytics

Develop executive dashboards and operational reporting.
Analyze business trends and provide actionable recommendations.
Monitor departmental budgets and expenditures.
Produce financial analyses supporting strategic decision-making.
Present findings to executive leadership.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.
Support internal audit activities.
Monitor adherence to company policies and accounting procedures.
Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
