Travel: Approximately 10%
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually, based on experience
Industry: Hospitality / Restaurants / Events
About the Role
We are a growing, multi-location hospitality group seeking an experienced, creative, and hands-on Marketing Director to lead marketing strategy and execution across our portfolio of restaurant and event brands.
This role is ideal for someone who can think strategically while also being comfortable jumping into the day-to-day work. You should be equally comfortable developing an annual marketing strategy, designing a new menu in Canva, reviewing website performance, building an email campaign, or working with operations teams on a restaurant promotion.
The Marketing Director will work closely with leadership, operations, culinary, and events teams to strengthen our brands, increase restaurant traffic, generate private-event leads, and ensure consistent marketing across multiple locations and markets.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute marketing strategies across multiple restaurant and hospitality brands.
- Build annual and seasonal marketing calendars around holidays, special events, menu launches, promotions, and local opportunities.
- Maintain consistent brand standards while recognizing that each concept and market may have a different audience and identity.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, guest engagement, restaurant traffic, and revenue.
Creative & Design
- Create and manage restaurant menus, event menus, promotional materials, flyers, digital graphics, signage, and other marketing collateral.
- Strong working knowledge of Canva and the ability to produce professional, brand-consistent materials without relying entirely on outside designers.
- Coordinate photography, content creation, and other creative projects as needed.
- Maintain organized brand assets, templates, photography, logos, and marketing materials.
Website & SEO
- Manage and regularly update multiple restaurant and hospitality websites.
- Maintain accurate menus, hours, events, promotions, photography, and other guest-facing information.
- Develop and execute an SEO strategy to improve organic search visibility.
- Monitor website traffic, search rankings, conversions, and overall digital performance.
- Work with outside developers or agencies when more advanced website work is required.
Email Marketing
- Manage email marketing through Mailchimp or similar platforms.
- Build targeted campaigns for restaurant guests, special events, holidays, promotions, and other initiatives.
- Grow and segment email databases to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and other campaign performance.
Social Media & Meta
- Oversee social media strategy across multiple brands and locations.
- Manage both organic and paid campaigns through Meta / Meta Business Suite.
- Develop content calendars and coordinate content with restaurant teams.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust targeting, creative, and spending based on results.
- Ensure guest messaging and brand voice remain consistent across social channels.
Restaurant & Event Marketing
- Partner closely with restaurant operations and culinary teams on new menus, seasonal promotions, special events, and local marketing opportunities.
- Support private dining, weddings, group dining, and event sales through targeted marketing initiatives.
- Develop campaigns designed to generate qualified event inquiries and increase conversion.
- Identify partnerships and local opportunities that strengthen each restaurant's presence within its market.
Reporting & Performance
- Establish meaningful marketing KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership.
- Track website traffic, SEO performance, social engagement, email performance, advertising ROI, lead generation, and campaign results.
- Use data to determine what is working and continuously improve marketing investments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably within restaurants, hospitality, hotels, lifestyle brands, or multi-location businesses.
- Experience managing marketing for multiple brands or locations is strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Canva and graphic/design fundamentals.
- Experience with menu design and print collateral.
- Hands-on experience managing websites and website content.
- Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing fundamentals.
- Experience with Mailchimp or comparable email marketing platforms.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Ads Manager.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content development, and paid advertising.
- Ability to interpret marketing analytics and translate results into actionable decisions.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple brands, projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with teams across multiple locations.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is creative, organized, commercially minded, and highly hands-on.
This is not a role focused solely on managing agencies or developing high-level strategy. The right person will be willing and able to execute—whether that means updating a website, creating a menu, launching an email campaign, reviewing SEO performance, building a Meta campaign, or working with a restaurant team on an upcoming promotion.
Experience understanding how marketing directly impacts restaurant traffic, reservations, private events, guest engagement, and revenue will be highly valued.
Compensation & Work Structure
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
This is primarily a remote position, with approximately 10% travel required to visit restaurant locations, support major initiatives, participate in content creation, and collaborate with on-site teams.
We offer a collaborative environment with the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the growth and direction of multiple hospitality brands.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and consider qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Application Question(s):
- Please describe your hands-on experience with Canva, menu/collateral design, website management, SEO, Mailchimp/email marketing, and Meta Ads. Which of these do you personally execute versus outsource or delegate?
- Tell us about your experience marketing restaurants, hospitality businesses, or other multi-location brands. How many locations or brands have you supported, and what were you directly responsible for?
- Please share one marketing initiative you personally led that produced measurable business results. What was the goal, what did you do, and what were the results (revenue, reservations, leads, traffic, ROAS, or other KPIs)?
