In this role, you are leading the execution of photo and stop motion video content for our CPG clients. You will be working directly with a Birdhill producer and stylist to execute a set list of concepts. It is key that you have a strong foundation for product and lifestyle photography. You are encouraged to follow and build processes for consistently smooth productions; while we aim for photoshoots to hum without hiccups, there are inevitable challenges that arise which require flexibility and a solutions-focused mindset. You’re a creator, collaborator, problem solver, and part of a growing team who wants to create impactful work through exceptional processes.

Since 2020, we’ve been on a steady mission to fill a gap for CPG brands: premium, cohesive, and ready-to-use monthly photography. We have built a team of Denver-based creators, we work with startups to Fortune 500 companies, and have built the necessary systems to scale. Each month, clients send us their products, and we handle all steps of the photo and stop motion content creation process — this includes creating a shot list, sourcing props, talent, shooting, retouching, and all the details that go on behind every photoshoot. We’re excited to grow our team with experts who will leave their stamp on Birdhill and the brands we create for.

Roles and Responsibilities

Shooting content — shooting photos and stop motion videos based on a shot list

Lighting, framing, and capturing photos & stop motion videos
Working on-set with a stylist to offer feedback until the styling meets the concept
Ensuring all items are being accounted for in each concept before moving on

Retouching content — retouching photos and stop motion videos based on a shot list

Utilizing a mix of Capture One and Photoshop to bring RAW files to life
Ensuring all items are being accounted for in each concept, including composites
Receiving feedback from a Birdhill producer to make adjustments as needed

Admin & Collaboration —staying organized, on schedule, communicative, and collaborative

Cleaning up the studio, and all equipment, with the stylist after a photoshoot based on SOPs
Naming files based on Birdhill’s naming conventions and folder structures
Executing within reasonable and clear time constraints
Communicating clearly and respectfully to Birdhill team members and visitors (most consistently models)
Collaborating on and owning side projects to improve marketing efforts, production processes, organization of the studio, or key company agenda items

2+ years shooting and/or retouching product and/or lifestyle photography

Working Hours & Compensation

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM — 5:00 PM MST.
One-hour break to include lunch
Location: in-studio — 1630 Welton St #600E Denver, CO 80202
Salary: $80k — $90k
Benefits included: health, dental, vision insurance, 401k option
PTO: Unlimited paid time off, Birdhill is closed from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day, federal holidays are off

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
