Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiology Technician to join our team in Hopewell on a full-time night shift. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in medical imaging and diagnostic radiology. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of various imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, PET scans, Mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures. Candidates with experience in emergency care settings, Level I or Level II trauma centers, or urgent care facilities are highly preferred. The role requires adherence to strict aseptic techniques and a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.

Duties

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT scans, PET scans, Mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine techniques with precision and attention to detail.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures by following proper aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Interpret physician orders accurately and select appropriate imaging modalities based on clinical indications.
Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate diagnostic evaluations and ensure high-quality imaging results.
Operate advanced imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards and protocols.
Assist in emergency situations requiring rapid diagnostic imaging within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
Stay current with technological advancements in medical imaging and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Valid US Driver’s License is required for transportation between facilities if necessary.
Proven experience in diagnostic radiology including X-ray, CT, PET scan, Mammography, DEXA scan, Nuclear medicine, and sonography is essential.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
Prior experience working in urgent care settings or emergency rooms is highly desirable.
Experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred.
Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with healthcare teams and explain procedures to patients effectively.
