Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead the maintenance department, overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of all foundry facilities and machinery. The Casting EQS Manager will ensure maximum up time of all equipment, including but not limited to induction furnaces, cranes, molding machines, sand mullers and coolers, finishing equipment, pollution control systems and general conveyors (belt and vibration). —through a robust preventative and predictive maintenance strategy. This role involves managing a team of technicians, controlling maintenance budgets, and ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Preventive/Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and optimize a comprehensive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program to reduce emergency breakdowns and increase asset life.

· Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, high performance, rapid response and root-cause problem solving.

· Determine schedules, sequences and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel.

· Operational Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions on automated foundry equipment.

· Budget & Inventory Management: Manage the maintenance budget, control costs, and maintain a critical spare parts inventory to ensure quick repairs. Optimize a critical spare parts inventory to prevent long-lead-time failures of imported machine components. 

· Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations, conducting regular audits, and promote a "safety-first" environment.

· Project Management: Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including the installation of new machinery and facility improvements.

· Data Analysis: Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track KPIs, analyze equipment history, and identify root causes of failures.

· Compliance & Quality: Ensure all maintenance activities align with IATF 16949 standards and OSHA safety regulations to maintain automotive certification.

· OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness): Specifically tracking the availability of the GF and DISA lines.

· MTBF & MTTR Tracking: Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time to Repair for safety-critical rotor production assets.

· PM Compliance: Percentage of preventative maintenance tasks completed on schedule versus reactive work. 

· Patrol and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions, violations of procedures and safety rules

· Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.

· Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.

· Develop and implement electronic maintenance programs and computer information management systems.

· Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
