About us

A well-established Family Law, Estate Planning, and Probate law firm with multiple locations is seeking a full-time, experienced Estate Planning/Probate Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience supporting attorneys in a busy practice. Notary commission required (may be obtained shortly after hire).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:·

· Draft estate plans (Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorney) for attorney review

· Correspond with clients regularly to obtain necessary information and answer questions

· Prepare estate planning binders

· Schedule/calendar appointments, court appearances, hearings and important deadlines

· Act as notary for signing appointments

· Track progress of large number of cases and take initiative to move them along

· Draft motions, substantive pleadings, statements and correspondence of the highest quality and accuracy; file documents with the Court for probate matters

· Maintain attorney calendar and case files

· Act as liaison between attorney and clients

· Receive and respond to emails from clients, opposing parties, vendors, judges/staff and co-workers in a professional, timely and organized manner

· Copy/scan/manage sensitive client documents

· Update client and case information into case management system

· Record time (billable hours) in case management system

· Attend regular case review meetings with attorneys

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE ESTATE PLANNING EXPERIENCE
Positive attitude, patience and good listening abilities are a must
Initiative to assess workload and ability to make suggestions to improve efficiencies and profitability
Pride in the quality of work produced and customer service provided to clients are also a must
Positive impact on work environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe and document management systems
Ability to remain calm and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Professionalism, both in demeanor toward others and in physical appearance
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

The firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including health/dental insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. on Fridays. This position will be located in Goodyear (or possibly North Phoenix (Desert Ridge) depending on the candidate). Occasional travel between offices may be required. Salary dependent on experience, bonuses are also available (Est. salary $50k-$75k/year).
