Full Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Biller (Behavioral Health – Medicaid Focus) Location: Boise Idaho Job Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Compensation: $19-$22 per hour DOE

At Hope Center Clinic, we are committed to providing compassionate, accessible, and evidence-based mental health care to individuals from all walks of life. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Biller to join our administrative team and help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our Medicaid billing processes.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Biller supports the billing department by processing and submitting Medicaid claims, reviewing clinical documentation, and assisting with account reconciliation. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, has a strong understanding of behavioral health services, and values integrity and accuracy in their work.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit Medicaid billing claims for mental health services
Review documentation (notes, treatment plans) for accuracy and compliance
Follow up on denied or rejected claims and assist in resubmissions
Verify client eligibility and service authorizations
Maintain billing records, payment logs, and audit trails
Collaborate with clinical staff regarding documentation needs
Track unbilled sessions and billing discrepancies
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and Medicaid regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Psychology, Health Administration, or a related field
1 year of experience in a behavioral or mental health setting
Familiarity with Medicaid billing and mental health service definitions
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive)
Strong organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with EHR systems and billing platforms
Knowledge of Idaho Medicaid rules and behavioral health billing requirements
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a clinical setting

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
