Full Job Description

Assistant to Patient Account Advisor

Location: Englewood, CO
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Job Type: Part-Time (15–32 hours)

About Us

Forester Family Medical Supply provides dependable, high-quality durable medical equipment (DME) and compassionate service to patients and providers across Colorado. As our team grows, we’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Assistant to support one of our Patient Account Advisors with both administrative duties and occasional off-site event support.

Job Summary

This role is focused on helping one of our Patient Account Advisors stay organized and efficient in supporting patient needs. You'll assist with communication, paperwork, file management, and DME order preparation — as well as occasional help with out-of-office events such as wheelchair clinics and provider meet-and-greets. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a support role and enjoys variety in their day-to-day responsibilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient & Referral Communication Support

Send updates to patients regarding orders, documentation, or next steps
Follow up with referral sources to gather missing information
Log and track communication activity
Maintain a professional, courteous tone at all times

File & Documentation Management

Organize and maintain both physical and digital patient records
Monitor document checklists and assist in closing any gaps
Scan, label, and file documents accurately and promptly
Support data entry and basic document prep tasks

DME Order Preparation

Help prepare DME order forms based on advisor instructions
Ensure all required paperwork is complete and attached
Submit forms to office personnel for processing
Track the status of submitted orders and follow up when needed

Event Support (Occasional, Out of Office)

Assist with planning and logistics for wheelchair clinics and meet-and-greets
Attend off-site events to support setup, sign-ins, and materials
Ensure documentation is complete during and after events
Represent Forester Family Medical Supply with professionalism

Qualifications

1+ year experience in an administrative or healthcare support role
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through independently
Previous experience in DME or a medical office is a plus
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for events (preferred)
