Full Job Description

Introduction:
Join the dessert revolution with Marinko's Desserts. We are a cutting-edge raw, vegan, gluten-free dessert company based in Los Angeles.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Raw Vegan Cake Decorator with a flair for artistry to elevate the aesthetic quality of our centerpiece cakes for weddings and special events. Your task is to help us create visually stunning raw vegan cakes without sacrificing our commitment to health and superfood ingredients.

This is per-project work. Pay ranges from $200 to $1,000+ per cake, depending on size and complexity.

Note: This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact in the dessert industry. However, as we are a startup, the work required will be on a part-time or one-off basis for now.

Responsibilities:

Designing and executing intricate and artistic cake decorations to enhance the visual appeal of our desserts.
Crafting unique and creative designs using raw, plant-based ingredients.
Prepping ingredients for decorating.
Collaborating on design ideas and presentation with the head chef.
Contributing to menu development with innovative decoration ideas.
Safely & efficiently operating kitchen equipment relevant to cake decoration.
Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in food artistry, especially cake decorating.
Experience creating visually appealing cakes, ideally for weddings or events.
Knowledge of superfood ingredients and their applications in dessert decoration.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for design and presentation.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Familiarity with raw vegan/gluten-free food and a passion for creating healthy, delicious desserts.
