Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Deli Worker and Barista. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverages, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Deli and Barista Worker, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality deli items, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts according to customer preferences and store standards
Operate espresso machines and prepare a variety of coffee drinks (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty beverages)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli and coffee preparation area
Ensure that food and beverages are prepared according to health and safety standards
Handle transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash handling and card payments
Restock deli and coffee bar supplies as needed
Assist with the preparation of to-go orders
Monitor and maintain proper food storage, rotation, and labeling practices
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to management
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

Qualifications

Prior experience in a deli, barista, or food service role preferred
Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with diverse customers
Ability to operate food preparation and coffee-making equipment
Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Basic math skills for handling cash and operating a register
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
