Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Welding Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure that all welding processes and finished products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your expertise will help uphold the integrity, safety, and reliability of our products, contributing to our reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality assurance, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment dedicated to continuous improvement.

Duties

Perform thorough inspections of welds using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
Conduct visual and possibly non-destructive testing (NDT) on welded components to identify defects or inconsistencies in accordance with AWS D1.1 and client specifications.
Review welding procedures and ensure adherence to industry standards like AWS D1.1 and client specifications.
Coordinate with fabrication teams to monitor welding processes, provide real-time feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Collect data during inspections for documentation purposes, and recommend process improvements.

Skills

Knowledge of welding techniques combined with analysis skills for defect detection and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and vision inspection systems.
Familiarity with industry standards such as AWS D1.1 and ASME.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and specifications accurately.
Strong attention to detail paired with excellent communication skills for reporting findings clearly and effectively.
Capable of working collaboratively across departments to uphold high standards of quality control and continuous improvement initiatives. Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
