Location: Downtown Los Angeles (in-office 5 days a week)

The Role: Sentinel Bridge is seeking an Insurance Operations Associate to manage insurance underwriting workflows and policy owner services. You’ll be a key link between our clients and our internal team—ensuring an efficient, high‑touch experience from application through policy delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Guide insurance applications through the underwriting process from close to policy delivery.
Respond promptly to policy owner service requests and routine client inquiries.
Track, update, and communicate the status of the underwriting book of business to team members.
Prepare insurance illustrations for client presentations.
Provide general office support (e.g., coordinating with technology team for new equipment, assisting with licensing, etc.).
Master the use of Northwestern Mutual (NM) client software and related systems.
Collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive, team‑oriented culture.

What Success Looks Like

Clients experience a high‑touch underwriting process with accurate, timely follow‑up.
Policy owner service requests are completed with urgency and care.
Team members remain informed about case status and next steps.
Office operations run efficiently.
Client experience elevates the firm’s brand value.
Firm leaders are confident that underwriting and policy owner service operations reflect firm values.

Qualifications

Service‑forward mindset with a strong commitment to client experience.
Very detail‑oriented, organized, and reliable follow‑through.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
California Life and Health Insurance License (mandatory)
Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with insurance underwriting operations or policy owner services is a plus.
Familiarity with Northwestern Mutual systems/software is advantageous (or willingness to learn quickly).

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges:
Entry level: $70,000–$85,000 (depending on experience and location)
Experienced (5+ years): $95,000–$110,000 (depending on experience and location)
Potential bonus tied to mutually agreed‑upon goals.
Benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance.
