The Opportunity
Vector is building the team to support a Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARFORSOC, "MARSOC") G-3 Air/Fires JTAC and Multi-Tactical Data Link Network requirement at Camp Lejeune, NC. We are hiring seven full-time Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to facilitate the MARSOC JTAC program, kinetic strike training, and tactical data link operations. These are mission-critical, continuity-sensitive positions. All offers are contingent upon contract award.

Role Descriptions and Minimum Qualifications
1. JICO SME (1 opening, TS/SCI)
Provide technical and operational expertise to plan, execute, monitor, and manage the Multi-Tactical Data Link Network (MTN) architecture in support of SOF operations, training, and coalition interoperability. Integrate tactical data links and information exchange requirements, sustain the common tactical picture, support the Joint Interface Control Cell, and brief senior leaders.
Minimum qualifications:
- Specialized JICO training: JT-301 JICO Capstone Course and prerequisites JT-101 (MTN Operations), JT-102 (MAJIC), and JT-201 (MTN Planners).
- Minimum eight years of relevant experience in tactical data link (TDL) architecture, multi-TDL network operations, or comparable joint or coalition command-and-control and data-link environments.
- In-depth working knowledge of multi-TDL architectures (for example Link 16, Link 22, Mode 5 IFF, MADL, TTNT, JREAP, and Cross Domain Solutions).
- Experience developing and overseeing TDL requirements, agreements, and information exchange requirements in a joint or coalition environment.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, including CONUS and OCONUS exercise and contingency support.
- Excellent briefing, writing, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, engineering, or operations discipline, or an equivalent combination of operational experience.
- Preferred: prior exercise or contingency deployment with USSOCOM, PACOM, CENTCOM, EUCOM, or other joint forward commands.
2. G-3 Air/Fires JTAC-I/E SME and Task Lead (1 opening, SECRET; TS/SCI eligible)
Serve as the on-site single point of contact (Task Lead) and the command's primary integrator for the kinetic strike training program. Deliver JTAC instruction and evaluation, manage range scheduling and safety, support JTAC program management and qualification tracking, and lead a geographically dispersed team while balancing cost, schedule, and performance.
Minimum qualifications:
- Held or exceeded a JTAC-I qualification as a uniformed member per service JTAC guidance (for example JFS ESC AP MOU 2024-01 JTAC Ground, USSOCOM M 350-5, USSOCOM D 525-13).
- JTAC-I/E qualification within the last 48 months.
- Minimum two years of experience as a SOF JTAC.
- Served a minimum of one year at military grade E-7 or higher.
- Prior experience as a task lead or equivalent management of multiple personnel in varying technical roles.
- Minimum three years supporting USSOCOM, a service SOF component command, joint fires programs, JTAC programs, or operational training organizations.
- Prior exercise or contingency deployment with a kinetic strike or strike cell within USSOCOM or another joint forward command.
- Active SECRET clearance on day one, with eligibility to obtain and maintain TS with SCI.
3. MRB JTAC-I/E SME (3 openings, SECRET)
Support the Marine Raider Battalions with JTAC instruction, evaluation, simulator training, range operations, and close air support malfunction, accident, and incident response and reporting. Maintain JTAC and JTAC-I/E qualifications and support JTAC program management and qualification tracking.
Minimum qualifications:
- Held or exceeded a JTAC-I qualification as a uniformed member per service JTAC guidance (for example JFS ESC AP MOU 2024-01 JTAC Ground, USSOCOM M 350-5, USSOCOM D 525-13).
- JTAC-I/E qualification within the last 48 months.
- Minimum two years of experience as a SOF JTAC.
- Active SECRET clearance on day one of performance.
4. FCP JTAC-I/E SME (1 opening, SECRET)
Support the Marine Raider Support Group Firepower Control Platoon with scheduling, training, program of instruction development, curriculum review, and execution of MARSOF Fires, along with JTAC instruction, evaluation, and range safety.
Minimum qualifications: same as the MRB JTAC-I/E SME above.
5. SOTACC Instructor (1 opening, SECRET)
Instruct students at the Special Operations Terminal Attack Controller Course in classroom, live, and Live-Virtual-Constructive environments. Conduct evaluations when qualified, maintain range safety officer duties, and support qualification tracking and program management.
Minimum qualifications: same as the MRB JTAC-I/E SME above, with classroom and LVC instruction experience preferred.
Common Requirements (all positions)
- Personnel must be fully qualified to perform on day one of the contract.
- Each position is a full-time equivalent at 2,080 hours per year. Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
- JTAC-I/E personnel are expected to attain and maintain Range Safety Officer duties and to provide their own modern high-cut ballistic helmet capable of integrating dual-communications headsets and push-to-talk.
- Travel to various CONUS locations is required in support of the mission.
- Access to NIPRNET and SIPRNET is at government facilities only.
- All positions are designated Key Personnel and require a current resume and a signed letter of commitment.
