School Photographer

Job description

Adirondack School Portraits has an immediate opening for full-part time seasonal School Portrait Individual Photographers. This position is for a exuberant, high energy, extremely social individual experienced working with Elementary through High School aged students. Paid training will start September 1st.

You must have insured reliable transportation; a valid New York State driver license, be detail oriented and enjoy working with children in schools.

Experience in School individual portrait photography would be advantageous and will be given 1st preference. We would possibly train a motivated individual that shows positive potential. This position would be 4-5 days a week (30-40 hours weekly) and will require you to travel to schools within the Capital and Northern Adirondack regions.

ALL equipment and paid training will be provided to successful candidates.

Picture Day responsibilities: Work in a team environment with other studio staff. Set up portrait equipment (provided by us) at local schools and photograph all subjects present. Equipment and paperwork will be returned at the end of photography session to crew chief or lead photographer. You may be asked to perform other duties as required while on specific assignments.

This position is seasonal in nature. It will consist of 14+ weeks in the fall (Sept - Dec) and 8+ weeks in spring. There are other events and activities during the year, but are limited. School assignments are scheduled for early morning to mid afternoon, but can vary.

· School Photographers must be able to work early mornings to mid afternoons, no exceptions.

· Must be extremely comfortable and enjoy working with children & teens.

· Must be very social with an energetic personality, creative eye and handle equipment with care.

· Must have impeccable customer rapport and be neatly groomed and well spoken.

· Successful candidates will undergo background checks and possible random drug testing.
