About Wantable
At Wantable, we’re redefining retail through personalization. Our membership-based model and proprietary technology empower us to curate products that help customers discover confidence and joy through style.
As a data-driven fashion company, we combine human intuition with algorithmic intelligence to deliver personalized assortments – balancing creativity, analytics, and operational precision.
We're looking for a modern creative who moves fluidly across photography, design, editing, and content creation, with the instincts and awareness to know what makes content work on every platform. They are someone who always has their phone at the ready and sees the world as a constant stream of opportunities to create great content, immersive images, and scroll-stopping video. The creative urge pulses through their veins. They don't wait to be assigned a shot; they see it, capture it, shape it, and ship it.
This is not a traditional photographer, designer, or content creator role; it's all three, unified, in one modern creative.
About The Role
As the Photographer and Multimedia Fashion Creative, you shoot and edit compelling on-figure and off-figure content, create and deliver content for performance ads, social content, and lifestyle imagery using the latest tools, including AI, ready to publish natively across Meta, TikTok, and beyond, and maybe even go live to sell in real time on occasion. Whether working with an iPhone or professional camera equipment, you consistently create elevated, platform-native imagery that drives both brand equity and measurable results.
You will play a critical role in how our brands come to life visually and how they perform, acting as a true creative partner to the Content Director, Production & Photo Studio Manager, and Sr. Director of Marketing & Creative within a high-performing, high-velocity production environment.
You are someone who doesn't wait for direction; you help define it. You think in terms of impact, efficiency, and evolution, not just execution. You're as comfortable building a set and shooting on-figure and off-figure apparel as you are concepting and designing a paid campaign, testing new AI workflows (including Wantable Create), directing talent, or hosting a TikTok Live selling session.
This role is for someone who wants to push the creative and technical boundaries of an editorial and e-commerce studio in the AI era — not just operate within one.
How Your Time Breaks Down
-
~50% — Photography & Video/Motion Production (primary focus)
-
~30% — Creative & Ad Design
-
~15% — AI Innovation & Workflow Evolution
-
~5% — Social Content & Live Selling
(Allocations are approximate and will flex with production cycles, campaigns, and business needs.)
What You'll Do
Photography & Video/Motion Production (Primary Focus)
-
Own end-to-end execution of on-figure and off-figure photography for e-commerce and marketing.
-
Act as creative lead on set — building impact-driven shot lists and leading lighting, composition, framing, motion, and visual direction.
-
Direct models, freelance talent, and HMU with confidence and clarity.
-
Capture and edit engaging short-form video and motion content for social, paid, and e-commerce using both mobile and professional equipment — with strong storytelling, pacing, sound design, color correction, and platform-native formatting.
-
Test and iterate on video formats, hooks, pacing, and editing styles using performance insights and channel trends.
-
Maintain and organize studio equipment; proactively research new tools and technology that improve efficiency and reduce production cost.
Creative & Ad Design
-
Concept, design, and deliver high-performing digital ads for Meta, TikTok, and other paid/growth channels static, motion, and video.
-
Develop and iterate creative variations quickly in partnership with Growth and paid media.
-
Use performance data (CTR, CVR, CAC, and engagement) to inform creative decisions and continuously improve results.
-
Balance performance optimization with brand integrity; drive results without sacrificing long-term equity.
-
Proactively identify creative testing opportunities based on trends, insights, and platform behavior.
Social Content & Live Selling
-
Create native, channel-first content for TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms designed to feel organic while laddering up to brand and campaign goals.
-
Bonus: Support and occasionally host and conduct TikTok Live selling sessions (part of a larger live selling team), presenting products on camera, engaging audiences in real time, and driving direct conversion.
-
Stay ahead of evolving platform trends, creator behaviors, editing techniques, and emerging production technologies.
AI Innovation & Workflow Evolution
-
Champion AI as a force multiplier across ideation, prototyping, production, and iteration, while maintaining a high bar for craft, originality, and brand integrity.
-
Identify where AI can enhance or accelerate traditional studio workflows (e.g., background/environment generation, eliminating flatlays, automating e-comm outputs, retouching, masking, cropping).
-
Use and help scale internal AI tools, including Wantable Create, plus generative and post-production tools (Firefly, Higgsfield, Runway, Midjourney, generative fill, LLM-supported workflows, etc.).
Cross-Functional Creative Partnership
-
Partner and support the Content Director and Sr. Director of Marketing & Creative to execute cohesive, on-brand campaigns across paid, social, email, SMS, landing pages, and e-commerce.
-
Partner with the Studio Manager (who owns scheduling and production flow) to ensure creative ideas are practical, scalable, and aligned with production realities.
-
Partner with the Lead Stylist & Content Creator on model casting, on-set direction, HMU direction, and performance-driven content ideas.
-
Collaborate with creative, marketing, and merchandising teams to align priorities and optimize performance using customer insights, engagement metrics, and conversion data.
-
Support art direction on key campaigns (e.g., Themed Edits) — shot lists, mood boards, styling references, and composition guidance.
Creative Partner, Not Order-Taker
-
Bring ideas proactively — concepts, tests, new formats, visual and content directions.
-
Balance brand consistency with experimentation and evolution.
-
Be someone the team trusts to push the work forward, not just execute it.
Additional Functions
-
Other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

What We're Looking For

Strong creative direction instincts (not just technical execution).

High-performing paid/social ad creative tied to measurable outcomes.

Elevated, brand-forward imagery and content at scale.
-
Deep expertise in:
-
Lighting, composition, and on-set direction.

-
On-camera comfort and presence — including hosting TikTok Live selling and appearing in social content.
-
Strong understanding of how creative impacts performance metrics (CTR, CVR, CAC, engagement, retention).
-
Proven ability to work with low oversight and high ownership; build shot lists and make independent creative decisions; and balance speed, quality, and output volume.
-
Critical Traits (Non-Negotiable):
-
Not old school. You actively seek new tools, workflows, and ways of working.
-
AI-curious to AI-native. You're excited by how AI can reshape creative work — and you test it.
-
Builder mindset. You improve creative approaches and workflows, not just follow them.
-
Creative confidence. You have a point of view and can defend it.
-
Comfortable on camera. Live selling and social presence don't intimidate you.
-
Adaptable. You evolve quickly as brand, tools, and strategy shift.
Nice To Have
-
Background in art direction or creative direction.
-
Experience integrating AI into creative production workflows.
-
Set design / prop styling / environmental builds.
-
Proven track record with live commerce / live selling (TikTok Shop, etc.).
-
Understanding of how creative impacts conversion and engagement.
Additional Requirements
-
Ability to perform work in a studio, office, and production environment
-
Ability to remain stationary and/or move throughout studio and production areas for extended periods of time
-
Ability to occasionally lift and move equipment and materials consistent with the essential functions of the role
-
Ability to operate photography, video, and computer equipment as required to perform job duties
-
Ability to visually inspect and evaluate creative content, digital assets, and production quality
-
Ability to appear on camera for social content and live selling.
-
Ability to work onsite at the Milwaukee, WI HQ office 3+ days per week.
-
Ability to adapt to changing production schedules, priorities, and business needs

A highly collaborative environment where creative, production, and growth teams partner closely.
