Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting clients and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities include:

Tax Expertise

Preparing and reviewing tax returns for Individuals (1040), S-Corps (1120S), C-Corps (1120), Partnerships (1065), and Nonprofits (990)
Preparing and reviewing Amended Returns (1040X)
Conducting proactive tax planning and projections for individuals and businesses
Researching complex tax issues and responding independently to IRS notices

Client Advisory & Accounting

Managing client relationships and gathering key financial data for reports and returns
Performing complex financial analyses and discussing insights directly with clients
Making journal entries and handling month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliations, prepaids, and accruals

Leadership & Mentorship

Training and supporting junior accountants on tax preparation, QuickBooks, and payroll software
Overseeing projects, managing priorities, and ensuring the timely completion of deliverables

The Experience We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
CPA license or active CPA candidate status
Minimum of 6 years’ recent experience in a CPA firm
Proven expertise in individual and corporate tax preparation, and full-cycle bookkeeping (cash and accrual basis)
Experience with private companies, high-net-worth individuals, and nonprofits
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, payroll functions, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Familiarity with ChatGPT, Slack, HubSpot, ProSeries, Checkpoint, XCM, Unanet, Deltek, or OnPoint PCR (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and budgets
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a take-charge attitude
A genuine passion for accounting and helping entrepreneurs succeed
