Full Job Description

Bio-Synthesis, Inc. is seeking an oligonucleotide production chemist with MS or PhD degree in organic/medicinal chemistry with several years of experience in academia or industry to run a small to middle scale oligo or peptide synthesis facility. The successful individual will play an integral role in a small team of scientists working on phosphoramidite technology development. You will be expected to perform under minimal supervision and be capable of having a steep learning curve in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications: MS or PhD degree in Chemistry, medicinal or related disciplines.

Key skills and Primary duties:

Perform synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotides including DNA, RNA and modified oligos or peptides.
Cleavage & deprotection, desalting and purification of oligonucleotides.
Packaging of synthetic oligonucleotides or peptides
Maintenance of oligo synthesizers, HPLC and desalting units in the laboratory.

Ability to maintain, calibrate and operate various types of small lab equipment.
Strong quantitative skills and excellent knowledge of Excel and data analysis.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential in our collaborative work environment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
Experience of working in small companies is a plus.

Work authorization in the USA is required.
