Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Your Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be at the heart of our production process, utilizing cutting-edge technology to create products that make a difference.
Summary: The primary role of the Maintenance Tech
is to safely troubleshoot, repair, replace and commission industrial production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime is achieved.
Shifts: 12-hour Day Shift 7 am to 7 pm; 12-hour Night Shift 7pm to 7am 3/2/2/3 schedule
Education and Experience Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Technical training is strongly preferred.
3. 3 -5 years’ industrial electrical experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Basic computer skills including but not limited to Outlook e-mail, and Microsoft Suite applications.
2. Knowledge of electrical theory and principles of operation
3. Standard knowledge of product specifications, quality requirements, production goals, efficiency, and waste
4. Strong analytical skills, understanding of cause-and-effect logic.
5. Ability to perform accurate electrical and mechanical repairs in an industrial setting.
6. Problem solving experience/capability.
7. Demonstrated safe, effective use of hand, maintenance, power, and shop tools. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
8. Must have good communication skills and be able to work well in a team-oriented environment.
9. Knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLC is preferred along with a background in machine process control (Marcal uses Rockwell servo control systems along with advanced networking communications, including Ethernet and SERCOS protocols)
10. Knowledge of basic web handling with industrial experience is desired with focus on paper products converting, packaging being a plus.

12. Ability to climb, stoop, reach, bend on continuous basis; 50-pound minimum lifting.
13. Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team utilizing mechanical and analytical aptitude.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure maintenance activities performed on equipment meet or exceed the manufacturer’s requirements for quality and reliability.
2. Ensure manufacturer warranties remain effective by adhering to necessary safeguards and guidelines.
3. Perform troubleshooting, machine repairs and replace components, as required.
4. Ability to provide remote guidance to OEM technicians while troubleshooting more difficult failures.
5. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines and plants systems.
6. Perform equipment repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
7. Proper use of test equipment to logically troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
8. Fabricate equipment as required.
9. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
10. Perform accurate record keeping, as required.
11. Maintain plant support systems in working order, i.e. heat, air, fans, air compressors and dryers, etc.
12. Responsible for housekeeping in parts room, shop and air compressor rooms and production work areas. Ensure work areas are neat, organized and free of safety hazards.
13. Ensure production area floors and equipment are free from excess spare parts, worn parts, debris and other items that are not necessary for operating and maintaining production equipment.
14. Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations; communicate as appropriate.
15. Adhere to the Company on call policy and maintain an on-call status on either an intermittent or regularly scheduled basis.
16. Maintain an open line of communication between peers, shifts, and leaders to ensure effective reporting of equipment deficiencies and repairs are reported in a timely manner.
17. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
18. Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations.
19. Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
20. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function of this position.
21. Required overtime hours on off days when necessary to ensure vacancies are covered and operations remain efficient.

Rewinder Assistant - Urgently Hiring
Pay: From $19.00 per hour

As a Rewinder Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our production process, utilizing cutting-edge technology to create products that make a difference.
Summary: Provide assistance to Rewinder Operator necessary to ensure safe and efficient rewinder operation to ensure maximum quality and productivity, with minimum downtime.
Shifts: 12-hour shifts, Days: 7 am-7 pm and Nights: 7 pm to 7 am
Pay: $19/hr; $2/hr differential for night shift 3/2/2/3 schedule
Education and Experience Requirements
· High School or equivalent, mechanical aptitude.
· Minimum 1-year experience with production machines.
· Ability to lift 35 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
· Ability to climb, stoop, and bend on continuous basis; 35-pound minimum lifting.
· Visual acuity and verbal communications skills.
· Initiative-taking, good work ethic.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist rewinder operator with ensuring machine is performing safely and efficiently, assist with grade changes and adjustments as required.
· Perform operation of rewinder when operator is on break in safe and efficient manner, as required.
· Monitor quality of product, i.e., footage, diameter, perforation, etc. Communicate any quality issues in appropriate, timely manner.
· Ensure adequate supply of usable cores available for rewinder operation at maximum speeds.
· Perform footage and dispensing tests as required to ensure quality standards are met.
· Preparation of parent rolls in a timely manner.
· Communication to appropriate personnel of any equipment operational deficiency, product quality changes or safety issues.
· Ensure minimum product waste and maintain work area neat and clean.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA and Company safety rules and regulations.
· Adhere to Company policy and procedure.
· Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function of this position.

Job Summary:
Down Stream Operator 2 will ensure safe operation of downstream equipment while monitoring and influencing product quality, productivity, and minimizing equipment downtime.

· Ability to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities to include safely maintaining all production functions of downstream equipment including but not limited to taking preliminary steps of change overs to ensure all materials are prepared and in place, accurately completing product change overs in a timely manner to achieve optimal performance of equipment, trouble shooting and making adjustments, removing jams of products within the equipment, maintaining efficient uptime and efficiency while producing products that meet company quality standards.

Job Summary:
Fully cross-trained warehouse team member who demonstrates proficiency in all core operational areas: order picking, receiving and putting away inbound freight, and loading outbound shipments. This role requires a strong working knowledge of riteSCAN (WMS) and safe operation of powered industrial equipment. Accuracy, accountability, and leadership-by-example are needed to succeed in this position.
12-Hour Shifts - Day and Night shift available; 3/2/2/3 schedule
Key responsibilities:
· Perform all Material Movement Specialist -Level 1 job duties with proficiency.
· Perform all three core warehouse functions with accuracy and efficiency:
o Picking: Select and stage product according to pick lists and system instructions.
o Receiving: Unload, label, scan, and move incoming freight into designated storage areas.
o Loading: Secure and load outbound shipments per Marcal and carrier standards.
· Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and effectively.
· Utilize riteSCAN and Syspro to record inventory transactions and movements.
· Follow safety protocols as the top priority; ensure proper equipment checks and reporting.
· Verify correct product, quantity, and condition during each movement.
· Assist in training and mentoring Level 1 employees as directed.
· Communicate effectively with leadership regarding workflow issues, product shortages, or damages.
· Participate in cycle counts and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Minimum 5 years of forklift experience with a record of safe operation.
· Fully trained and proficient in picking, receiving, and loading.
· Experience using riteSCAN, Syspro, and RF scanning equipment.
· Strong understanding of warehouse processes and inventory flow.
· High attention to detail and commitment to following SOPs.
Preferred:
· Experience with OpenDock or other dock/yard management tools.
· Familiarity with paper product handling and load stability best practices.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
