Full Job Description

Contract CAD Designer (2D/3D)

Overview:
Seeking a skilled Contract CAD Designer with expertise in both 2D and 3D design to join our team on a fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying detailed drawings and models used in the production of our innovative chemical storage solutions. Must be able to commit to a long-term 30 hours per week on a 1099 contract. If you are ultimately seeking a full-time job this is not going to be a good fit and we would appreciate your honesty.

2D - $25-$30/hour, 3D open. The mix will favor 2D work, about a 70/30 split.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings based on specifications and design requirements.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with manufacturing capabilities.
Modify existing designs to improve functionality and cost-efficiency.
Maintain CAD files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Provide technical support and guidance on design-related issues.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Experience in 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Previous experience in manufacturing or industrial design is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
