As a Sushi Roller / Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, rolling, and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests. Duties

Prepare and assemble sushi rolls with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, rice cookers, and sushi mats
Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new sushi combinations and seasonal offerings
Handle food production tasks such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling to support overall kitchen operations
Participate in meal preparation for catering events or high-volume service periods
Ensure consistent quality control through recipe adherence and proper portioning during food production

Skills

Extensive knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to sushi making
Experience with fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments
Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures in a professional kitchen setting
Strong understanding of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience preferred
Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
Experience with menu planning, food industry standards, and culinary innovation
Excellent food handling skills with a focus on hygiene, safety, and quality assurance
Familiarity with catering services, food service experience, and restaurant operations
