Full Job Description

Position: Maintenance Electrician - Oil & Gas

Schedule: 5/2

Location: Jal, NM

The Oilfield Electrician is responsible for overseeing electrical systems and equipment at specified oilfield sites. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly inspect and monitor electrical equipment and systems, including generators, motors, transformers, and control systems
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize production downtime
Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all electrical systems and components in an oil & gas environment, specific to Production, Compression, SWD/Water and Flowback environment
Repairs: Execute repairs on electrical equipment and systems as needed, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including day shift operators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, implementing appropriate measures to secure the site and resolve issues
Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest industry practices and safety standards

Education and Certification Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED equivalent
Electrical Assessment required
Valid electrical certification or license required; additional safety or technical certifications a plus

Requirements:

Experience: 3+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an oilfield maintenance; Demonstrated and thorough knowledge of O&G Production, Compression, SWD/Water and/or Flowback highly desired
Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in outdoor environments and adverse weather conditions, lift heavy equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods
Other: Must be able to work OT, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Other: Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including clearance of background, drug, MVR, valid driver's license with clean driving record
Working Conditions: Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, including high-pressure equipment and chemicals and outdoor inclement weather conditions

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
