Full Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, analyzing data, and implementing quality management systems. Provide leadership and overall direction to the total quality control/food safety program. Very hands on position reporting directly to the QA Manger.

Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met
- Analyze data and identify trends or areas for improvement in the production process
- Familiar with microbiological and chemical testing of finished products, raw materials and associated items
- Maintaining housekeeping standards to prevent cross contamination during processing

- Tracking of samples sent to outside laboratories
- Complete all required paperwork and data entry accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor product/warehouse/coolers/freezer temperatures from receiving to shipping
- Release "DO NOT USE" tags after micro confirmation

-Rotation of products, First in First Out (FIFO)

-Pre-operation inspections of equipment and facility

-Equipment swabs once per week

-Calibrate and verify proper function of production scales

-In house pest control inspections

-Air sampling and environmental inspection/testing

-Conduct audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, fabricate reports, and maintain accurate documentation
- Monitor adherence to HACCP, CGMP, SOP's, GMP's and Food Safety
- GMP audits of plant and surrounding area and 3rd party audits

Work Schedule Monday-Friday 3:00am to 11:30am

Qualifications:
- Previous experience (one year) as a Quality Assurance Tech in food manufacturing plant
- Ability to multi-task, and cross train in a fast paced environment
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP's, SOP's and FDA regulations
- Proficient in analyzing data and identifying trends
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement corrective actions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
