About Us

FPS Apparel is a dynamic apparel manufacturer looking for a motivated, organized, and experienced Production Printing Assistant to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Art & Layout Preparation: Create layouts for printed apparel from supplied production art; collaborate with the art team to make necessary adjustments.
Quality Control & Proofing: Check artwork accuracy against virtual mock-ups, proof client artwork on fabric, and make edits or revisions as needed.
Color Matching: Perform Pantone/PMS color matching on printed artwork per client specifications.
Print Production: Prepare approved art files for bulk sublimation printing. Use RIP software to set up job layouts.
Machine Operation: Operate and maintain large-format dye-sublimation printing machines and Calendar transfer press machinery (we will train you!).
Order Tracking & Logistics: Accurately produce orders matching the design, quantity, and quality of the Sales Order. Maintain an organized file system using correct naming conventions. Keep daily logs and update the production database.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate frequently with Sales, Art, Cutting, and Sewing teams to ensure orders flow smoothly. Report needs or bottlenecks to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (basic knowledge of InDesign is a plus).
Working knowledge of Windows OS, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Experience with RIP software is a plus, but not required (training provided).
Strong basic math skills.

Core Competencies:

Color & Material Mastery: Ability to visually differentiate between colors, knowledge of color theory, and the ability to inspect fabrics/materials for defects.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and pivot between tasks as timelines shift.
Communication: Strong written and spoken English required; Spanish language skills are a bonus.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

Comfort working in a hybrid desk/warehouse environment with exposure to machinery.
Physical agility including frequent standing, crouching, kneeling, bending, and fine motor work.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted (and heavier loads with assistance).

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
