Full Job Description

FULL TIME RECEPTIONIST POSITION AVAILABLE FOR A MANDARIN SPEAKING FRONT DESK CANDIDATE IN OUR FLUSHING COMMONS OFFICE!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet patients with a smile!

· Check in, put chart up in a timely fashion

· Prepare charts (print label, flow sheet & print summary) for each MD schedule at least 24 hours in advance

· Check out timely and mark as completed to keep cycle times accurate

· Schedule the patients next appointment or create an appointment tickler

· Register new patients to include mobile phone and email address/compare what was input into Phreesia

· Update existing patient information, check phone numbers and referring/PCP information

· Maintain HIPAA compliance

· Check to make sure the patient’s insurance is eligible

· Enter insurance with the correct package, and ensure we are Par with plan

· Have knowledge of what insurances need referrals/auth & check to make sure it’s on file, and add as needed

· Collect copays, calculate 20%/self-pay rates & do their personal daily close

· Be able to effectively use EMR and Scheduling platforms

· Effectively take messages & send to the correct person

· Scan documents correctly into a patient chart

· Be able to work well with other staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
