My favorite thing about 180 Medical was the job culture. They provided many fun activities and the quarterly meetings were a fun way to bring employees together and was only for 3 days every quarter which was very reasonable. My biggest issue was the lack of communication and job security with this company was lacking. If you were having an issue good luck because helpdesk would just tell you that you have bad internet (insulting as I paid $300 of my own money to have internet installed in my home for this job) and you were basically told to suck it up and figure it out yourself. On top of changes in procedures and management not informing employees so things will get done the wrong way and you will get in trouble for never being trained the new process. They definitely pick favorites and other employees will get away with more than others or get promoted before you. Bad phone systems that will say you got a missed call when you didnt but you will still get in trouble for it. Got put in the same meeting multiple times and my manager accused me of lying. Dont even bother taking one day off without getting a video call from your manager hanging it over your head that you could get written up or terminated for being absent so the job security was never the best. You will get more or less work to do depending on your location. They cater to Oklahoma employees but if you work anywhere else you will have to work harder and be the only hand on deck due to your location. You are also subject to time change without notice. Thats just a few of the many serious cons of this job. 

The company presents a positive atmosphere. During my interview process the recruiter just listened about my goals and aspirations, which is very excellent to know if things will merge well. The second interview was a panel with your supervisor, manager and a veteran associate. (Now when I say associate i dont mean it demeaning but it could be seen as such, think of the veterans as long term employees that are a calm voice of reason.) the third interview is with the COO. 

The positions themselves are extremely repetitive, this would be because it is the medical industry so you'll be dealing with insurances, patients/customers, sales reps, and doctors facilities, you have to be careful of the statements you make as reprucusions will exist. 

The company gives positive benefits such as free breakfast, meeting goal gifts, and food trucks. On site gym can come in handy as well. If you watch the bachelor and can talk the thunder you'll have a friend in every cubical. Only a handful of supervisors and managers are excellent and know how to manage people. My supervisor was so amazing I wanted to stay just because of my immediate supervisor.

Also degrees are not need as seniority seems to be the way to move up. I am not talking down about education but it helps to know that time and money was well spent in a secondary education.  You'll be paid to do the same task (non-negotiable) and not think outside the box. 

The company is still growing so keep your eyes open and you'll see the CEO, CFO, and COO almost daily.

I only worked here for 6 months and that's all it took for this company that claims to treat their employees so great to prove otherwise. The work was too repetitive and things are done differently by each department which caused constant confusion and frustration. I spent alot of my time clarifying certain protocols. The confirmations team supervisors were never on the same page. I was given extra work opportunities I didn't ask for and others were not given the same opportunities when they did ask for them. If you were good at your job, you got slammed with extra work and if you weren't that great, you were shown more leniency, all for the same pay. Unfair treatment is putting it politely. My team supervisor provided no resolution for a work environment issue I was having. Then I was denied unpaid time off even when I provided a note from my doctor. I was told I would be fired if I didn't show up for work the next day, even though my doctor put me out for the week but another employee on my same team was approved for unpaid time off every week and was allowed to come to work only half the time. The only thing I liked about this job was talking to the patients and helping them. Don't work here. The pay and benefits are not worth the stress and unfair treatment you'll come to discover over time. This company is losing good employees because of poor leadership. The only thing I would rate above average would be their customer service.

I've only been working here for a little over a month (as a Billing Specialist), but so far, I love what I see and have experienced..  Free breakfast.  Large inviting work spaces and break rooms.  Rewards for goal accomplishment on a weekly basis.  Quarterly incentives based on performance.  Excellent trainers and Team Leads, along with departmental management overall.  

The only thing I find a bit underwhelming is the first years PTO benefit.  That said, I took the job knowing this and haven't regretted it so far.  My work day is full, but not overwhelming.  The work is challenging, my co-workers (while leaning towards the young side) are friendly and helpful.  The hardest part of my job is just becoming part of this 'team', and the most enjoyable part of my job is the upbeat, relaxed management philosophy.

I look forward to a long career here!  I have referred everyone I know to at least apply and visit with HR to see if it might be a good fit for them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They put more workload on you than you’re capable of doing. The training doesn’t correlate to the job. Every supervisor will tell you to do a specific task differently. They promote those who do wrong. Passive aggressive. Will not discipline when others have done wrong, but tell you it will be looked into and then it’s held against you even though backlash is against their policy.  I could go on and on.  Some supervisors will dig through your private messages and take them to HR and take them out of context to get someone in trouble they don’t like. 100% would not recommend

There are a few good people, but the overall company is toxic 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and overworked. I cried most days

The IT department is a mess, as indicated by their constant advertising for developers and an architect.

They slap things together as it suites them, with no regard for how it will hurt them in the long run.  They are incapable of making plans and sticking to them.

The company was recently purchased, and as part of the deal they are supposed to implement their software throughout the parent company.  They're in a panic, because they know it can't be done, but you don't dare say that out loud, or suggest ways to make it happen.

They have no interest in hiring people with vision, only lackeys who will bend to the latest whim of short-sighted management.  They have been through two architects in 2013 already, because those people have told the truth.  Telling the truth is not allowed at 180 Medical.

If you just want to sit and take direction, and can hold your tongue while the IT managers wrap themselves around a pole, this is your place.

If you care about quality effort, skip them.

180 is a great place to work and build a career helping others in need. The work culture is phenomenal, they take pride in caring for their customers. They do little things that make a big difference in the lives of others. Ever since the pandemic it has become more of a remote place to work, however they still try to keep the culture alive and take care of the employees. 

The only negative is that the pay isn’t the best. It’s pretty good for someone fresh out of high school with no degree starting out. However they will help pay your college tuition for some degrees and they always hire internally first, you can move up to a new position pretty quickly. For the work that you do, the pay isn’t bad, just not the best especially in today’s economy where the cost of living is so expensive. 

If I could give zero stars I would. Talk about the most boring place on the planet. If you like being chained to a desk 8 hours a day this job is for you. There are some fun things that they do but it is for like 5 minutes a day and then you are expected to sit in your cubicle and work without ever talking or seeing anyone the other 7 hours and 55 minutes. Pay sucks- quarterly bonus is a joke and only veterans actually end up getting it. Very high turnover rate. I only worked a few months there and I bet there were no less than 30 people leave. Management barely speaks to you unless you are doing something wrong and they are ready to get rid of you. Perks (that are few) are not worth the terribkepay and gruelingly boring days where you count the minutes until you can leave.

180 is a great place to work until you realize you will stay there over 5 years to get a promotion. If you last that long. Company has a very high turnover rate. There were people around me who were excellent at their job, worked in the same position for 3 years,and were passed over for management positions. Instead, the company would choose someone who knew nothing about the position. If you are a management favorite or have military experience (COO was previously a military recruiter) you will succeed. If you realize you are not one of these people, run. If you are content with your life, married, spouse already has a good job, or not sure what you want to do with your degree, you may enjoy working here.

The pay is pretty decent for a customer service rep. I appreciated it more after seeing what some other companies offer. The environment is one of  the most laid back settings that I’ve ever been in, but not in a bad way. They trust you til they have a reason not to, so don’t take advantage of it. This is in reference to management. Your fellow  employees owe you nothing, so expect nothing. Most people, especially the supervisors, are very friendly and helpful and they don’t want to have to breathe down your neck. They want you to be good at your job.
