Arise Virtual Solutions in Miramar Florida is horrible. They are deceitful and unethical. 
Forgive any and all typos. 
You enter as a worker eager to work and service. You pay to set up fast telephone and internet, all business prices (expensive), Headsets, with mic and dialing pad and one with usb and mic. desk, chair, paper, pens, computer (fast ram). You're tech savvy and have a productive 30 plus year work history and then get to Arise and you supposedly unable to work your own computer, do bit know how to login in with passwords, you accused of not knowing how to work and provide services. While typing this I called Spiegel and Ultrera who hung up while I was talking not wanting to discuss Arise lawsuits. This lets me know that Arise is a powerful force in Florida and must hold many dinners. I expect BBB to sell this complaint to Arise as well. 

They systems crash and you're blamed, the systems crashes is their firing tools for fake NPS system. The PFs, trainers, and moderators all have business, they are IBOs, they are also friends of IBOs who have family, friends, and employees as new enrollees in the certification certs. In the tape recordings that were no where in site today, show how favoritism takes place, how they stupidly mention other IBO asking them to take care of their employees and this they do. They pamper overgrown men and women- who appear to be workers not problematic (problematic to them is complaining about why systems fail, pay not given, unfairly terminations, unfair treatment and call outs in course) this others would use as disgruntled employees. 

You sign up for one sow and they hold it and comes up with individual rules until they need someone to fill what they want you to instead of what you sign up for- a different sow. Arise makes money off of every employee, they are not losing one contract nor moneys for when they terminate a sow. The frustrations comes from them lying when doing so when what they are saying happening didnt happen and without any further meetings, warnings, or explanations. 

In a recorded field trip 1/16/2018, a shaun came into the virtual classroom and bashed 5 employees and said they were bad employees who complained and run to others within Arise and he has to be nice to them, "not" in his words. He continued to bash employees during a welcome aboard virtual field trip. Why was this done? To voice his feelings about workers questioning unethical employment behavior, to make some feel voiceless, and to tame newbies into smile and keeping quiet.

Whats funny is that Arise continues to get away with it like Trump has done for years within the executive and business arena and that is to lie and get away with bullying and mistreatment of workers within their employment contracts. They have lawyers who turn their heads, review organizations that turn their heads and reward them. There are tv programs airing Arise convincing people who are looking for, love to and are in need or work and even better work from home. For the View, put unsuspecting persons in the lions den is even worse. Have they not read the reviews and complaints online. Hello, how about the numerous lawsuits, and even the states not even allowing their residents to get involved with their company because it is considered unethical. 

You think the complaints are 100% disgruntled employees? If you do, you have blinders on. I have so much to report about this company it is ridiculous. 

You bring on someone, they think they are going to do well as and IBO which results in Arise having a continues flow of certification fees, monthly fees, bonus, incentives, and monies they receive from each call, each CSP, from each volume of calls in their contract and so on and so forth. All Arise has to do is let the client know that they have new and fresh and eager workers ready to jump aboard (a Arise and the Client knows that the work is limited) Anyone in collections or call center background knows that there is a contract to attract the contact list, receive calls, make calls, and bring in additional money. The turnover means nothing to Intuit, Carnival, Comcast to name the clients that are benefiting from this intentional turnover. 

If a trainer does not train you well and focus on the success of who she wants (IBO friends, relatives, and workers) that's more money for internal workers who own companies that supply the workers. Conflict of interest. The same workers are your call modifiers and chatroom supervisors, they ignore your assistance requests (why, because can resolve and issue, timely and enough-terminated sow) what it means, more work for who? The internal IBOS. Who are the IBOS the certification trainers, PFs, moderators, IT staff and so on and so forth. There is a method to their madness. And Arise and its internal staff is like a well paid following. You want believe it unless you are seeing it. Excuse any and all typos. 

As of today, no recordings of the course recordings are visible. Why? It shows the playing the workers against each other, favoritism, lies, deceit, and unethical behavior.

Arise Survey

Too many technical issues with getting programs uploaded from the start. We started with about 30 students ended with about 7 before I dropped. Although I didn't complete preclass work, I got caught up very fast. But without enough to go on before class even started, it was just answering questions without and a real understanding. It makes no sense to have a class where the instructor is expected to teach students so fast, what they need to know in order to be a valuable asset to the company & clients. Meaning, I myself don't appreciate being expected to fake it until I make it. This type of expectation is junk. I would not want to be a part of a company that does not hold themselves to a higher esteem, because the frontline customer service representatives can either make the company look good or bad. Why would Arise choose to be substandard and the best? This depends on the very cultural that is cultivated from the top to the bottom, not the bottom to the top. If Arise cares about their clients and their representatives (Representatives Are The Face of both the clients & The Arise Platform). And if Arise cares at all, Arise would take the time to make sure that they have instructors who are willing to "teach": And to make it fair to the instructor; Arise should ensure that the instructor has an "adequate" amount of time to teach. When this does not happen, Arise will have a very high turnover rate with substandard customer service. Who does that on purpose? When you have a company, the objective should be...to be a success, not to have high turnover rates. Representatives that cannot provide quality customer service because adequate time has not been allowed for the teachers to teach, nor the students to learn. I'm only one person, but if Arise wants to keep the "fake it, until you make," it will be this very type of culture will follow the company's name and reputation. I want to know what I'm doing because I don't need the stress of being ill-prepared to deal with customers. I'm a people person by nature, but not one customer wants to deal with representatives who don't know what they are doing, I wouldn't

What would you change:
I would allow longer classes, 4 months at least so that my company is not setting students up for failure. More time allows students to have more clarity and the confidence to do their jobs. A few students and myself got together several times outside of class hours, but it was like the blind leading the blind. We tried, we just did not have clarity on how to use the database. Hire people for the chat line who can actually help instead of ignoring newcomers & ridiculing them. Because the chat line that was suppose to be knowledgeable and helpful the new comers, just ended up running more students off. The report that I got back from students who had started taking calls was that they were ignored & ridiculed for not knowing what information to relay to the customers. What a shame. But, they are not at fault alone, because maybe they were taught the same way that we were. And how a company even do QA when the very people doing QA don't know what they are doing. This type of culture will run a company straight into the ground, because eventually clients will get frustrated with the quality of service from Arise. Clients don't want mediocrity, they want the best!!!

What could arise do better:
Higher instructors who are willing to teach without making students feel humiliated. Give instructors more time, so that students will have more time to actually "learn." No one likes to waste time taking a course that sets you up for failure because everything is a rush. This kind of training lacks integrity. But 9 times out of 10, my information & thoughts about how things are ran with Arise won't mean anything and whoever reads my survey will probably be dismissive, and Arise will continue to have a high turnover rates. Good leadership starts from the top!!! Not the bottom. "And a good leader makes themselves unnecessary" Author unknown. This just means that by the time that the instructors are done teaching students...the students should be able to do their job with minimal assistance.
This was not an isolated incident.

I have serviced 2 different clients with Arise and have been with one for sometime now and I really like it, but you get with the wrong client and it is not a good experience at all. I signed up for the AT&T IRU account because the available hours for my other client that I service was getting low.and I needed more hours. BIG MISTAKE!!! The client team at Arise that supports the AT&T IRU account is horrible! The process and metrics are horrible!! The expectations are far beyond expectable!! There is always a new meeting, upskill class, huddles or something that they expect you to attend (without pay of course). They drop these meetings, huddles and classes on you at the last minute and expect you to twist your day around and reschedule you entire life to attend these last minute meetings. There is no work/life balance with the AT&T account. It is all work!! Even if you have hours scheduled to service, they still want you to attend these meetings (you cannot service and attend these hour long meetings). After twisting yourself and your life and schedule all around to meet their needs, they terminate your SOW for no real reason. The termination letter has a reason listed but is just an excuse because it doesn't really apply. There is no one to talk to about the termination. Low and behold,  weeks later they reinstate your SOW again without explanation!! So you go these weeks without work/pay for this client and they just out of blue decide they made a mistake and take you back and then you have to twist and change your schedule to meet their needs. They do whatever they want whenever they want and you suffer the fallout!! They very disorganized and do not know what they are doing. They cannot keep csps to service the AT&T client so they have to keep running new classes to bring in more victims. I have worked in corporate America making a lot more money than this that demanded a lot less from you. Yes, you can make up to about $18 an hour (hard to do but you can do it sometimes), but that is actually service time pay. If you factor in all the daily and meeting meetings and huddles that you have to attend and don't get paid for, you might be clearing $8-10 a hour. Now if you are not making $18 when servicing, then you are clearing even less.Not to mention they send you a list of anywhere from 2-8 upskill classes that MUST be completed within the next 2 - 3 days. These classes take about 30 minutes to an hour to complete, so needless to say that is time you have to put in without pay again. Not to mention the endless emails that you get about this and that. Many of them repeating the same thing over again but just using different wording. I get fewer emails from spam than from the AT&T team at Arise. 

Bottom line, if you are going to try Arise, do not select AT&T as a client. You will see many other bad reviews about Arise and the AT&T client. Someone told me not to select the AT&T client it was because it was not a good program to work for. I wish I would have listened. I have had more stress from this client that I can even start to explain. 

Another thing about Arise is their support system for tech support or partner support is not good at all. The only way to get assistance with anything from technical support to, to pay or client support is to go into the chat rooms and wait and wait and wait for someone to assist you. Sometimes it takes several hours of waiting and if you are not in front of your computer at the time they get around to you then they close your session and more to the next person and you have to start all over again. I have spent endless hours waiting on support and many times it did not even help. I had a technical issue that I spent hours with support on and they could not figure it out. I had to actually do my own research online to figure out what the problem was.

After certifying for several different clients, I have finally decided to give up on Arise and reclaim my sanity. After all, the very definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results. And I'm sick of the costly, disappointing results I have gotten. Arise is a textbook case of the bait and switch, referring to "15-hour minimums" on virtually every client they post openings for (leading any rational person to believe that if 15 is a "MINIMUM" then at least that much work is available). The reality is far different.

Ready to "start your own remote call center business" and work for your chosen client? Yeah... so was I. You will be astonished at how few hours are available after spending hours and hours in training and doing homework. You will constantly be told more hours will be added, but it's doubtful in my experience; if they are added, the cap prevents you from claiming more than a few more shifts, AND you have to be willing to work a half-hour here and there to make it happen. This occurred on all three of my clients, and I can only assume it happens on others. 

They will tell you that you will get more hours if you perform well, but I have never found that to be the case. I have had no major performance issues whatsoever and typically only unscheduled when responding to the many, many requests to take "interval exceptions" (read: even though there are so few hours available, they over hire and over schedule, meaning they don't even need the people they let work the few hours so they ask you to give up time). Even so, very few hours were ever available for me to claim, and caps remained very low. My average on my longest-term client was 7 hours a week.

I have struggled to make back my training fees in a month or more of working, no matter how "open" my availability was. After the admin fee was taken from my regular pay, the hours were so scarce that I was lucky to make enough to pay my internet bill any given week. Meanwhile, I've wasted all the time in training that I could have been training for a job that would pay off! I was stupid enough to keep trying, and it has been SO frustrating.

I recently trained for the "fitness" company client and understood this was the "best" client at Arise... only to find it was the same stuff, different name. When scheduling our first week, there were no hours available, ZERO, and, of course, there were not enough hours to get the supposed 15 minimum the second week and a 21-hour cap had they been available. Arise thinks nothing of having you spend 20 hours or more in class each week and two or three hours doing homework at night only to prevent you from making ANY money when it's all finally over, even though the first week is when you're supposed to start working and apply what you've learned... y'know, so you can ACTUALLY do the job versus sitting there listening to the supposed trainer do little more than read the self-paced stuff out loud to the class.

Hopefully, someone will fix the broken system. They need to do much better forecasting and only onboard the volume of CSPs the client needs, so there is AT LEAST the so-called minimum to go around. Their refusal to do so is tantamount to preying on people's desire to work at home and their need to make their schedule themselves. Otherwise, who can make a living on desperately cobbling together less than 15 or even up to 21 hours working half-hour shifts here and there? Not me, and I'm glad I've finally seen sense and am moving on!

This is a great opportunity, but nothing in life is perfect and one good thing generally comes with something bad thats just the way of life. With that said this is convenient because you get to schedule your own hours you get to choose who you want to work for depending on what contracts are out in that moment, then comes the big but lol you get to pick your own hours but that doesn't mean the hours you want are always available especially when you first start out. The schedule is released to you depending on your performance and how much you have worked so someone who has done well and has been working a good amount will get the schedule sooner then you so in the beginning when you have nothing under your belt you have to basically take what there is to prove yourself so you can hopefully get on the list to get it first because most of the time the people on the list take alll the good hours, its doable but its hard at first so keep that in mind. Second point you get to choose who to work for but not every contract is the same and the training time can vary, the most common being a month long and you DO NOT get paid during this time so make sure you have some other way of making money in the mean time. I can not stress enough how important it is to get a good IBO that is the person who will be paying you because if they are not good you wont have the information you need for a job and when something happens they wont know how to fight for you with arise or the company holding your contract, now you have another option of becoming an IBO yourself you will need to have an LLC but its worth it in the sense that you dont get as much money taken from you, it depends on what IBO you go with on how much they take Arise charges $20 each pay check which is every 2 weeks for you using their company but after that the IBO can charge you what ever they want some do a percentage of your check others do a set amount each pay check but if you are your own IBO all that gets taken is the 20 arise charges but the downside is you have to do everything so if somethings wrong you cant just go to your IBO to fix it your the IBO so you have to do it so you have to learn how the company works and adapt another plus side though is as an IBO you can have as many people under you as you want and charge them what you want so you have the opportunity to have a full on business if your smart about it. Each contract has its Pros and Cons, this is a great opportunity if you can make it work what i dont recommend is this be the main source of income for your household because i just dont feel its reliable enough, each contract only lasts about 3 months and after that time they can choose to drop you or keep you and if they drop you, you have to go through a whole other training of a month without pay to start working again. its a good side thing or for a stay at home mom/dad but not the main source of income. I hope this helped this gave me the chance to spend time with my kids that i really cherished because i was able to work from home but im the man to the unreliability just wasn't working for me if i didn't have savings to fall back on i would have been in a very bad situation because i did not have a good IBO and i wasn't given all the info so when i was dropped it was out of no where and that was not good for me all in all good opportunity for the right person in the right situation.

I game with a class action suit. One day during service last, I was dropped in the middle of a live call. Busting my butt and resolving calls as should. Sometimes working off the clock and longer than I had checked scheduled for. I Asked why? poor NSP-impossible. No warning no other explanation. Money, time, and expectations lost. That was with Intuit. Fast forward, in class with same client. 40 people, 1st day of cert a field trip, in the field trip Shaun bashes "five people" in the class for complaining to management about managements (poor) decisions. He speaks about people who complain have poor internet and lousy computers. Bashing continues for duration of 'field trip". All I could think about was an very unethical company. It was basically a threat to the entire class that if you went to management about any decision there would be consequences. 

 By the end of the first day of 40 students, more than half had completed homework before she assigned it at 100% Only nearly 10 answers questions in the class, but the instructor doesnt notice that the spread sheet she submits with individual progress updates has nearly 20 people with 10 assignments completed,  attempting logins for the first time. Mind you, this is a 4 hour course the first excel spread sheet issued by 5 pm that evening should not be full when no one has a system, are new to the course, and cannot get in to system logins. 

3 days later, remember those who had the assignments did sooner than should have, because they could not get into a specific program well the homework was submitted the first day, third day- specific program, funny my logins dont work.  Catch, the PFs and Trainers, moderators are all IBOs, Independent Business Owners and look out for known Arise or Client's workers, contractors, friends and family. You? Well you are overlooked in the classes (intentionally), favoritism reigns heavily (they get away with it). Now in order for me to pass cert, I need access to the systems that my login and password doesn't work for. Set -up to fail. They are terrible. After a year or more experiences of a unfairly terminated sow I see complaint after complaint about arise. If you see my emails to Arise you'd know that I have came to notice or experience many of the same experiences others have had prior. 

Whats even worst, their advertisement on the VIew. The View need to know that Arise hurts stay at home workers rather than help them. Stop allowing them to advertise on the show and pay attention to the complaints. Also, agencies are giving them awards. Why? 

There is more. All week, Ive been thinking class action. They are making money, big time. All they need is workers to come for 30 to 60 days or less and Arise is paid alot for them days and give you what they want. They also keep the IBOs (owned by their clients who have started companies, their PFs and monitors, instructors, tech support have companies or are friends with those they do) and keep them with work and intervals. and give you nothing. Oh and the monitors on the calls are your course trainers and all own companies. So, to ignore you in a class and specifically focused on those they want to succeed. Why? So, that those they know keep their sow and money. One hand washes another! Arise thinks people are dumb.

So heres how it goes:

Arise is an outsourcing company for other big businesses, such as Comcast, ATT, Sprint, T-Mobile. 

They hire and  mediate between you and these companies to work for them. Dirt cheap and no benefits. Since you'll be "self-employed"  no taxes will be taken out but you will end up owing IRS at the end of the year. So save some money out of each check. 

To start working with Arise: 

You either know someone who is an IBO  and you work under them which will make you a CSP, or you pay to start your own LLC in your state and become an IBO. You pay for a Background check, and an Assessment test. Once approved by your IBO ( or yourself if you decide to be your own IBO) you get to choose which client you would like to work for. 

You take some Pre-training class assessments to prepare for the class. Now depending on the client you choose, training may be unpaid or partially paid. But YOU have to pay to enter the training class. Sometimes the IBO may waive the cost of the training class for you and take it out of your first invoice, or Arise will run a "sale" on the cost of the training class. You also have to purchase your phone and headset. Again. Some IBO's waive that or provide a voucher. 


Now you get into a the class and youre in a virtual classroom with anywhere from 10-30 other people. Listening to ONE person speak and share their screens and slide shows. Throughout the course of the training you will be tested and assessed so that you can pass certification to actually get on the phones and start working.

Once you start actually taking calls, you set your schedule but you the schedules are released based on priority. So the people who maintain the best numbers get to set their schedules first. ( good luck on getting morning hours.) Then it goes in order  until basically people with the worst hours get the leftovers. For the min. req to be 20 hours per week, you can find yourself working 7 days a week because of the scarce availability of hours you'd like. Also weekend hours are req. 

Retrieving help while on the calls can be so greatly frustrating. 

So in a nutshell, your experience with Arise will be as good or bad as your IBO, your trainers, the client ( company) you choose to work under, and the quality assurance/supervisors you work under. 

I work with ATT and the pay is literally cents per minute, if I dont meet the metrics I get base pay. My IBO takes a GOOD portion out of my invoice because she has to pay Arise and herself. I would love to give Arise one more shot under another company, but Im not confident the experience will be greatly different because this is an outsourcing company. Youre not meant to retentive the same benefits and pay as people that actually work for these companies. 

So here I am on INDEED looking for another job.

I left a full time job to work with Arise on the cruise line program. I absolutely love talking to the guests and travel agents. It is very hard to get full time hours. Hour selection is based on metrics. The goal is 330 seconds on a call and my talk time is around 385 seconds.  It is unfair that your selection of hours is based on that because you have no control of the types of calls you get. Often times travel agents call needing assistance on 3 booking which really eats into your talk time. And...if you need penalties waived when making changes on booking, you easily wait 5 minutes or more for your turn for chat assistance to take care of it since you do not have access to do that. The QA's that are done can be picky as well. Although most of my evaluations were 100's, I had one that I failed because I used the word "insurance" vs travel protection. There are good chat pf's (coach) and bad ones. Fortunately, i have one that is super helpful. There is a lot to learn about each client and from what I have seen through my time with Arise only one certification course had a half way decent instructor.  The othet two I attempted had terrible instructors and it basically sets you up for failure. The clients need to monitor the certification course more so they will see this. There are many of us that want to do a good job for the people calling in for service but it is hard to be efficient without proper training. You are required to provide your own computer and phone which is fine as long as you make enough money to earn back your investment.  Unfortunately, more than half of the almost 1000 agents with the client I am with are only getting 5 to 10 hours. Being in the "general" category due to either a higher average talk time, lower score on evals or a commitment adherence less than 90 can put you in the general category.  So if you have tech issues, internet issues or are not logging in on time, this can happen. Sometimes tech issues will be waived but not all the time which means your committment adherance and pay are affected. My internet went out while I was logged in to work once and the problem was with my internet provider's lines, this was not waived for me, although it was out of my control and it put me in general category with 5 hours on the first release of hours with a max of 10 hours on the second hours cap release. It is very hard to keep your average talk time down when you get a low amount of hours since you aren't getting as many calls during a shorter shift. This really makes it hard to get out of the general category. 
I am really disappointed with the program all together and want everyone to be aware of what it is like because I really messed up leaving a full time job for $50 to $100 a week.

I have been operating a business as an independent business for this virtual customer services provider for several years. I currently have agents that work for my company.

Before working with Arise as an agent, I had never before worked for a company where I experienced NOT getting paid as agreed when agreed until Arise. On more than 5 occasions I had not been paid when I was supposed to. Thankfully, I had worked for them the left over hours of my day and this was not my main stream of income. You can not seriously work for this company as a contractor and depend on them if it is your ONLY source of income or if you are the SOLE provider in your home. If you need it for part time income that you are not dependent on for survival it may work if you get paid as and when agreed per the SOW. Thriving at this company is not an option. 

You can't even get your complaints resolved by phone. You have to do it through a chat and WAIT for someone to get back to you days later. I don't understand how Arise can have contractors provide  PHONE services predominantly to customers but not offer phone support to the people who work for the company for their own issues. 

Arise has less than a handful of clients that pay $10 an hour and the rest of then pay below $10 an hour and some way below that. In some states, minimum wage is close to what they offer on some of their clients. Also, keep in mind that you are also responsible to pay your own taxes, so you are essentially paid even less than mentioned. 

It's a decent place to work for kids fresh out of high school, an at home parent, or someone who lives with relatives that can survive off of a couple hundred dollars a month. If you make more than $1000 a month it wont last because the client slows down, is seasonal, or you have 3 or more clients you're working for that can add up to 70 plus hours a week. 

Keep in MIND that you PAY for the course for the CLIENT and then you take the client courses anywhere between 2 hours to 2 and half months UNPAID.************


Bottom line if you have serious household commitments, need to make real money, or need to get PAID when you're supposed to, then don't waste your time with Arise. At this point I collect from my agents that work under my company and I work my time else where. If you want a "real job" and or need a "career", please don't bother. Make money off of employing others to work for you who don't mind cheap labor or use them to get a few part time dollars on the side(that's if working for an outside company doesn't pay better, which will most likely be the case).

This is a review based on facts as I have worked as an agent and I also employ agents now for 5 years or more.

Three weeks online training you have to pay for and no wage during the training.  You spend three weeks learning the system and never knowing if you have passed until the end.  That in itself was incredibly stressful.  You are classed as self-employed.  You have to sign with an IBO (independent business owner) who charge an administration fee per month on your wage.  The minimum is £40 per month.  Some IBO's charge a lot more.  I had a fantastic and supportive IBO and I was lucky.  
Work hours are released at 30 minute intervals - and it is a free for all - mostly you will not get the hours you need or have to do odd half hour intervals spread throughout the week.  Often there are no hours released at all and you will have no wage coming in because they over hire.  Sometimes you will be asked to take exceptions and drop half hours because they have over staffed.  You can not really choose your own hours because your only choice is what they release.
There are many technical problems - if you can't get on to the system you will not be paid because it is classed as your fault if a system is down.  The IT support is U.S based so be prepared to be awoken at three in the morning by tech staff if you have a systems issue!  The tech staff can spend weeks fruitlessly trying to sort problems before you can get back in and actually work.
You will be expected to do evening training when you have to learn about new products - sometimes sitting there till midnight taking online tests - after a full work day.
Call wrap up times are only about a minute and a half - if you can't keep a customer on the phone and it's a complex call where you need to be filling in lots of online forms you are screwed because the next call will come through no matter what.  This can cause issues of you working over your 30 minute interval and not getting paid for that time.
The chat PF's who are supposed to help you deal with complex queries are often rude, dismissive, don't help and talk to you as if you are a very stupid three year old.  
Your fellow customer service advisors are lovely people and they give a lot of support though they are told not to!
The customers are generally lovely on the client I worked for - though some could be awful!  Generally they were the best part of the job.  
I left a good salaried job to do this as it was promoted as a really good WFH alternative .... biggest mistake of my life.  I've never been so miserable in any job in my life.  In the end they changed their operating and security systems and I could no longer access them.  I was glad to go tbh and felt so much happier once I no longer worked there.
