Sage, is not in the business of people. People are their Business. The building is run by inexperienced 20-somethings. They do not care about the staff or the residents' well-being; they just want to boost their own egos. Expect to be ignored for several months or more if you are not part of their clique. You will never be supported or given the tools you need, and it will be felt throughout the building. On any given day, there are at least 3 people resigning.  You'll also have the pleasure of watching a place so tight on funds throw money away on a daily basis. Good luck digging through the hoards of garbage that fill their supply closets. They are also super secretive, like so much so that they don't even inform their staff when there is a covid outbreak. It really is quite sad. Not only do the employees deserve more, but so do the residents. I mean, is being treated like a human being so much to ask for? Also, there are no benefits, it's just a ploy they use to get you to apply. 

Management in most companies are lazy entitled and incompetent. They usually lack any attribute quality or skill required by true successful leadership. But that being said Agemark is at the top of that list. Low pay for the work and effort required to give the residents the quality of care they deserve. The neverending cycle employee's being hired put through a meat grinder and seeking new employment is quick. 75% turnover rate and the real victims are the elderly. Get ur loved ones out and placed somewhere else they are likely not getting care they deserve. There are a few people who god bless them stick around and give everything they have physically mentally while battling the pointless procedures and policies and clueless management ( you know who you are! !! ) Stay away from this at all cost

Company is growing rapidly, numerous national and regional positions have been created and people from outside of the company hired into those positions. Sadly these people have come from other cultures of kill or be killed and have turned the environment into finger pointing, placing blame and covering for workers who aren't doing their jobs. They promote work/life balance and family atmosphere which is untrue. Upper management paid well but never at work. When told they need you to work extra hours they don't allow OT and make you work off the clock and give you a gift card instead of OT pay. When putting in for PTO denied numerous times as was told that there is a limit of PTO that can be paid each pay period. Steer clear of this company.

The only reason I kept this job was for the residents, who I very much liked. The management was terrible, rude, and EXTREMELY unprofessional. Specific CNA's has access to the DON's office while she was out, and knew the code to the door. Also, I gave a month's notice when I quit, but recently found out from friends who work there currently that the management is spreading rumors about me and telling people I was fired. I quit because of the poor management and the fact that they refused to work around my class schedule when they said they would when I was hired. This was the only reason I accepted the position. 
Was a fun place to work, aside from the management. Genuinely felt like I was just hanging out with elderly people and helping them out when needed. Paid very well.

My reccomendation for people looking into -not only this position but- any job in Kensington is to stay away as far as you can. You are severely overworked and treated poorly for how hard you work. Don't expect the management to actually come in if you need them to, don't expect them to care or go beyond like they expect you to. My coworkers and including myself,  had to work while we are sick and contagious and sometimes even feverish. The residents themselves are not bad and I enjoyed working with my coworkers. But I have not felt anymore work toxicity from any place but here. 
If this hasn't convinced you, then my personal experience is I've had 5 people of all ages working long or short years there quit less than a few months. Don't work here.

Worked for this company and gave them everything I could including personal time with my family. They show no appreciation for their hard working, loyal employees. It's all about money with this company but not to the right employees. They don't want to pay hard working employees a fair wage for the multiple responsibilities they are required. Upper management will tell their employees anything they want to hear but do very little to actually make changes for their employees. They want people who will keep their head down, not question their morale, and be happy working hard for minimal compensation.  Be aware of this company. They like to pretend they care about the staff and residents but at the end of the day, it's all about money in their pockets. 

I am so grateful to have found a wonderful company like Agemark when pursing a healthcare job. This company has given me the opportunity to grow within and continue to further my education & future goals. I have never felt more welcomed and treated like family before. Agemark is a rewarding job and I am proud to make a difference in residents and families lives. Management is always helping out when needed and makes it a fun work environment. Our team work makes us a very strong community and I would recommend this company to anyone! 

I've learned these people make bad decisions often, then the staff takes the brunt of the aftermath. Oh, they have the lingo down, but they are high on themselves and they encourage group think. Everyone in management is similar. They ask for the moon but don't give you what you need to get it done. Short staffed, ineffective managers who don't know how to lead, poor benefits, just don't. You will be sorry if you do.

A normal day for me is coming to work seeing the tenants waking them up. I go into the tenants room say Good morning and how did you sleep. I feel if you start out with a good approach it sets the tenants up for a positive day. I get them dressed brush their hair and teeth. I wash their face. You always have to joke with them to get their spirits up. I then bring them out to the dining room. I ask them what they want to drink and always say please and thank you no matter what. Im always one to joke with the tenants to make them smile. If you have to be serious all the time whats the fun in that.

Who you work with makes all the difference in a job. I feel lucky that I get paid to be around some pretty awesome co-workers who are here for the right reasons. I love interacting with and helping our residents. I feel like the company cares about me and they want to help me grow in my professional journey. I always feel supported. CountryHouse Omaha is a great place to work and you feel that in the culture and energy of the building. We're having a good time over here! Come join us.
