The only thing good about this job was the weekly pay. As far as the benefits go they give you a set period of time to file for the insurance. I was told if you missed the date you could never get the plan. Paid time off hours starts to accumulate after one year and you don't have any sick days. The employee meal plan is pretty decent you get to eat during breaks. Management is a complete joke and incapable of completing daily tasks to put the team in a great place. Instead, they point the finger and pass the blame on the employees that give their all. Employees are left to deal with situations by themselves and are reprimanded with no clear fault. Never have I worked in an establishment that a manager would turn their heads away from issues. The corporate side of the company will be any means to cover up any wrongdoings for a manager they are not at fault. You are expected to be of replacement value and nothing more or less. If you have knowledge of the industry and some sort of education they take you as a threat. Not everyone here is for your best interest and they are wolves in sheep's clothing. I've gone through enough here to realize it's not worth being a part of a team that has no clear goal on what we're here to do. One day something is acceptable and the next day it is not, and that is not how I am comfortable with doing business. This is the first location in NJ and there is no solid ground on what they actually want to do. If you want to work here you will find out soon the odd ways of this new establishment. I appreciate a stocked up and clean station to start my shift, and I'm sure the next cook does as well.

We had a rough last semester with a lot thay went on unfortunately and we were tired and hoping for a fresh start. Now we get to the new semester with new management and finally thought things were covered. I was sadly mistaken. My management that I work for are the most petty, and stressful people I have ever worked for. It was always something going on last semester and it was so bad someone who's worked there at the college I go to and work at quit after years of working there. The college I go to switched to this company and it's gone downhill sense. The pay is great and is so convenient since I go to college there. But it's been so bad the moral lately that I'm leaving. I have gone through enough stress already with school, and with the new management and changes it's only been worse. I feel like how I was at my last job. Wore down and unappreciated. This company does not care much for its employees and those with a higher title have the ego that comes with it. Every site is different, but with my experience it was better when us employees were running it because we did not receive much help. I advise looking over the company policies and the site you're working at because they will find ways to screw you. I just wish things could be different. 

This was the most negative leadership experience I’ve had. Management created a culture of fear through micromanagement, public criticism, and poor communication. I often felt unsupported, undervalued, and set up to fail.

Pay was also handled in a very unusual way for a salaried position. If a single day was missed, full pay was not received, even still with catching up on the 50+ hours that week. Paid time off policies were unclear and left me financially disadvantaged during holidays between trimesters. 

Accepted the full time position, under the guise of a 40 hour work week, but when I stepped into the role, I was told my hours were Monday through Friday 8AM-6PM. This was not what I had signed up for, and was not supported in my efforts to express that a 50 hour work week was not communicated prior to accepting the position. The workload often had me working more than 50 hours, and I often made weekend appearances to catch up on their truly unrealistic expectations for a fixed salary employee. I was paid scraps while pouring everything into this position with no work/life balance. 

Overall, the environment was stressful, discouraging, and damaging to my well-being. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for employment.

It started out great, money wise... then we were made to finish everything asap, , hours then were cut right before Christmas!!
My job was a joke!! Was supposed to be a line cook, was made a prep for salads, and did whatever anyone wanted done of me, it was a JOKE!!
The food on the line was never replaced, sat there for the entire 6 hours, sometimes, one piece of meat for 6$, vegetables extra, $2 for soda, $8.80 for a salad!! What in the??? 
My hours and everyone there hours were cut, were told it was just for the holidays, not true, hours were cut because of the contract they had with the company and the employees that ate there were not happy with anything! Food, prices, etc
Also, was chewed out by a chef, who thought it necessary to do in front of employees from the plant, totally uncalled for, should of at least taken me in the office to discuss it properly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is very little that I can say is good about this company.  Although I did meet a couple of nice people to work with. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The home office personal in accounting were stressful.  But the most stressful was the client I worked for.  Rude and overly demanding to point it was actually laughable.

It did not seem good. I think there are some VPs in the company that don't care about culture,  only about bottom line. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was long and exaugusting. Minimum of 12 hours per day. And that was just a regular day worth nothing special going on. When there was catering add about 4 more hours.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The schedule gives you time for that work/life balance that is hard to come by with other restaurants. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support. You are expected to be an expert from the beginning. When you succeed you barely get any credit for all that you do, but when you miss that margin, you take all the blame for the gaps.

Suck it up and do what you're told. Day to day is different and you could have to do 3 jobs for the price of one and a raise is a joke.

Overwhelmingly stressful. Expect to have panic attacks.

The lack ofd support and teamwork, and the  uneven workload made it difficult to stay. The management from all levels have difficult time runing rhe place. I loved the  hours and location. To find sufficient and efficient grill workers, help and support will be a continuous burden unfortunately without proper management.  Sufficient training of the current employees would help, more "teamwork" culture should be displayed. They have a really great sous chef there currently, she's amazing cook and support of grill! She Was the only really great support, Absolutely.Forget about anybody else coming over to help. I would have stayed otherwise.

Creativity outlet, great upper management, and flexibility with hours.

Dealing with some management personalities and the weather.

Culture was good. Upper management, like the corporate chef, utilizes chefs for the specific skill sets; it’s nice to recognized for your abilities.

Work long hours from time to time, complete tasks, and go home.

Horrible company that does not treat the employees with respect and does not acknowledge the employee for all they do.  Health insurance is terrible, Earned time is horrible and any chance of moving up is non exsisting.

The company not giving back to employees

Your on your own, Even voicing concerns doesn’t get anywhere. They creat a cutthroat culture amung the employees

Free meals, the clientelle and hours of operation

Understaffed, unrealistic goals set by leaders and lack of training and communication.

Passive aggressive, horrible communication and poor work life balance.

Early in the morning and work late due to unrealistic timelines set by corporate and expectations.
