The owner of the company is rude and confrontational. The management sucks, the manager of the entire office doesn’t speak unless spoken to and doesn’t even know our names. The owners would rather keep a lousy worker who will comply with whatever they say and fire the workers who know how to do their jobs. They hire workers and hardly train them, this company from the owner to the smaller employees are all very unprofessional. They refuse most raises and when you are given a raise you’re told not to speak about it. They over work the employees. They have 1 single person in each department besides coordination and HR. So all the workload falls onto one persons shoulders with no management. When work falls behind during audits then management wants to come in and blame the employees, when he’s not there most of the time. Working at Avondale tends to feel like you’re transported back to high school with the mean girls. There were a lot of times I felt very uncomfortable here from especially management but also from the coworkers. Management believes giving little activities and paying for food once in a while makes up for it when in reality they are just trying to slap a bandaid on the real issues. Speaking of, when there are real issues within the work place there is no real sense of an HR department for the in office workers. Issues seem to be brushed under the rug with no write up nothing. Absolutely the worst place I have worked at. 

I would like to share my experience with the interview. 

I wasn't too crazy about being set up to interview with three different managers from three different departments and then to be told they were still interviewing more candidates. There is also a difference in opinion with the managers on what the position entails and the hours. Was told different things from both managers. I also did not like how they emphasize on your personal life. As if you are not allowed a personal life out of the work place. They were more concerned about you working later hours and if there is anything in your personal life that is going to interfere with these hours. You are scheduled for either 8-4 or 9-5 and work on salary, but they want you to work later hours as the position requires you too. I don't mind working later if needed but am I getting paid over time??... That was never mentioned. I have interviewed many times for corporate positions and other professional positions in homecare. And with every interview I was either interviewed with the VP or manager always with the head boss. Never by others. I did not feel comfortable either with all three having an idea of what I wanted in salary. I have worked for companies were only human  resources or the VP were the only one's who knew of my salary as that is confidential. Anyway thought I would share that to others for future references.

The Management team was solid and great to work with at the time of my beginning with The Avondale Group, but slowly, the manager's began to find employment else where, which left a lot to fall threw the cracks at The Avondale Group chose to hire people who did not have much managerial skills.
On top of staffing & meeting all of HR & QM requirements, I was sent out to other agencies to Market for work.  
The work force they put on your desk was too much to get done within one day.

Management is horrible. They do not care about their employees. People are over worked and under paid. Management only cares about revenue numbers, but not their employees. The working environment in the office is only good because of my direct Supervisor. Can’t talk to HR because they are all related and all gossip about other staff in other departments. Management does not recognize employee efforts nor provides appropriate sentiments on a job well done. I’ve witnessed the supervisor come out of meetings crying; the way management speaks to people is HORRIBLE! 

Two days are never alike. A day at Avondale will involve dedication and readiness for any urgency or decision making. Assuring the patients are cared for and satisfied is the number one goal for a coordinator. Meeting those needs becomes a challenge when it involves family members, home health aides, nurses and contracts, which all play great part of the patient's satisfaction. The day is not complete until all the patient's are scheduled to receive service for the next day or permanent for the next several months.

This company is one of the most unprofessional places that I have ever worked.
The communication is atrocious. They will send you to clients who canceled their services with them. And, who winds up losing me. I loss both my Time and a Salary because, of their neglect.
The work is NOT steady and they did not have too many Full Time cases.
They don't care for their Home Health Aides. That is why it's a Revolving Door.

Working here taught me a lot about marketing. It also let me know that in order to succeed in marketing, one needs up to date resources. The Avondale care group used a lot of door to door salesmanship to get by. unfortunately that does not work much today. Their account mangers didn't last very long because, besides new tablets, we had very little direction. It was like dropping you in the ocean.

Productive and fun environment... they have a lot of events for staffs.. spirit week.. employee appreciation gatherings.. hardest part in coordination is staffing cases but I've been to a few agencies and there are shortages in hha/pca everywhere - however if you know how to talk to aides and build your relationship - you'll be fine. Coordination is stressful anywhere but here   the work environment and teamwork between the departments make it better

Avondale provide home health aide services to the very rich. I worked for a very rich establishment that assisted rich elderly people with their daily living. It was a very nice place to work, the environment was nice, luxurious and spacious. Most of the staff was easy to get along with and most of the patients that we work with made our work rewarding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay rate and the clients. I loved all of my clients and was close to them and their families. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The whole management team. A bunch of little kids are running that business straight into the ground! They don’t really address any concerns you bring to them. Overall terrible place to work!
