This was the worse work environment that I had ever experienced. Lots of gossiping amongst the supervisors and managers about employees, and sometimes out loud. I had a lead position there and from day one there was a trainer who was clearly disturbed by my presence. Her and my supervisor were friends and whenever I would have a review or coaching session it would be zero percent work related and one hundred percent personal he said she said type of conversation. When I reported it to human resources and management nothing was ever done. I was told by human resource that after reporting the incident, the next step was a group meeting that was supposed to have been initiated by the manager..well that meeting never happened and after that my supervisor began to openly harass me, to the point of other employees coming to me what was going on..This was a huge mistake! We had a group of about eight people that was sent over to work on a temporary assignment from Kelly's. I was a level two who received escalated calls from the temporary employees. All of these people worked very hard and did a great job everyday with the exception of a young lady who happened to be the only Caucasian sent over from the temp agency. This young lady put no effort into learning the job whatsoever. She would transfer every call without even using the tools that was provided to assist in resolving the issue..she sat really close to me and I would hear her tell the customers everything but the correct thing..well when the time came for their assignments to end several of them expressed that they would like to stay, well to make a long story short all of the black employees were let go and they kept the Caucasian young lady..Tis company clearly has no clue!!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very stressful. There’s absolutely an insane amount to learn for a new employee in this position. The training is awesome, but they cram so much into training for this position. The pay does not match the tedious work at all.  I was honestly lowballed and haven’t made this income since the past 5 years so essentially I took a pay cut . It looks like I’ll have to get a part time job just to pay me bills . The net pay is extremely low  . There are skill checks with each model that you must pass with 80. I regret taking this job . I can see why they have a high turnover. I have literally had crying fits trying to understand this work in such a short amount of time. They pay the lowest that they can for the maximum amount of work. Don’t do it . I’ve never experienced this much agitation in trying to learn my job role . I won’t miss this place at all.  The trainer was awesome so it’s not on them . It’s the sheer amount of stuff that you have to learn and on top of that , learning how to navigate their systems . One system password reset is a job in itself. The time tracker is also another job in itself. Just from the experience in this company in handling appeals , makes me reluctant to apply to any other appeals roles anywhere else ever . 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The sheer amount of things to remember as the work instructions 80 percent of the time does not direct you where to go . You have to remember.

They’re ok people. No issues personally. Very professional all that I’ve dealt with 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, anxiety ridden to the point where I don’t want to log in

My typical day at CGS starts at 6:30 am, I log into my systems and get to work enrolling applications. If I don't have training or any distractions the mornings go by fairly quickly because I tend to stay busy.

I have been trained on all appropriate skill sets for my position but I am always willing to learn something new that will help me in my job!

The management is fair, my personal opinion is that sometimes they don't make the best decisions on how to go about certain situations, but in the end the job gets done.

I love my coworkers! They truly make my days go by!

There really isn't anything hard about my job, I have been trained to handle situations and if I don't know how to go about a situation then I know to go ask for help. I think the most enjoyable part of my job is the people I get to interact with everyday, the situations/ learning curves I get to experience and the knowledge knowing that my job gets complete and metrics get met.

8 hour days to start and may specially request 10 hour days but that is at the managers discretion. I learned a lot regarding medical review and CMS guidelines/resources. Depending on who your assigned manager was depended on your overall work experience. I do not like being micromanaged as medical review from home is suppose to be an independent position. However, my team overall expressed how much we were micromanaged to the point we could not meet our production numbers on some days due to this. The hardest part, other than dealing with certain management, was the inconsistency of quality assurance reviews.  The best part of the job is that is was work from home, consistent schedule, and a limited amount of flexibility as long as there was prior notice made. 

Organizational culture discouraged transparency, with punitive responses to concerns and policies enforced inconsistently by leadership lacking operational knowledge. Compensation was below market and work-life balance unsustainable. Concerns were formally raised without response. I ultimately exited the organization and was not offered an exit interview or follow-up.

Worst job I've ever had! Management is horrible! They do not properly train employees. They expect you retain 6 weeks of information in one week and then be able to do your job effectively. Environment was very unprofessional. There was a dress code (business casual), but managers would bend rules for employees they liked. There were also many people acting in managerial roles that were not managers. Very frustrating. I was hired through a temp agency so maybe that's why my experience was so bad. But the turnover rate here is horrible. Almost everyone here hates their job so they are always hiring. People always quit within the first week and the first 90 days. There were 17 people in my training class. When I left, after being there almost 3 months, there were only 2 people from my class still there.

A typical day entailed taking back to back calls from DME suppliers and Tier 1 CSRs to assist them with advanced inquiries while educating them on the appropriate recources used to find the answers needed. I learned how to efficiently research information through multiple recources. My co-workers were great and the environment was wonderful. The hardest part of the job was answering to escalated calls from the occational upset suppliers regarding thier claims being denied. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that I was making a difference in the company and in the supplier community by educating them on Medicare's guidlines and proceedures.

This has been a waste of my time. Extremely LOW pay!!!! Especially for the amount of work expected. Training was a complete joke, two days of “here’s how you do it and now I’ll watch you do it” managment is incompetent and have no clue what’s going on. They can’t even do the job, they’re asking you to be perfect at. Their time entering system for your hours, is a job within its self! I hate every second of working here. 
Also Managers will LIE during the interview to get you in the door! I was hired and interviewed for one thing and for MONTHS after starting/ during training, i was told “
That particular work isn’t available, we’re waiting for those claims” i feel it was smoke and mirrors to get someone in, feel they’d except the low pay and just deal with it! NOPE! You can make more at a grocery store with cheaper benefits. 

It's, overall, a really good place to work. The schedules, for those not in Customer support, are very flexible and it is easy to take time off if you need it. Some departments offer overtime. It is rarely mandatory. They offer a lot of fun rewards and seem to really care about their employees in times of real trouble. Those are the good things. There are a couple of bad things. Their expectations of their Appeals Analysts are somewhat unrealistic at this time. I'm not currently an appeals analyst, but I know that they have lost many recently and I know why. The only other bad thing is that they don't really pay well. 

If you do not have an existing friendship with current management don't bother. Employees are responsible for training each other, so don't expect quality training. Employee raises are based on performance (relative to each other) so if you are looking for a kill or be killed environment this job is for you. If that sounds appealing and you feel like that IS your thing, and you are considering applying, backstabbing WILL get you ahead in this company. If backstabbing isn't your thing, self loathing is the next best quality that you could possibly have. Enjoy the cat fight.
