Working at CHHS has fulfilled my professional expectations and look forward to the future! As my passion is making  a difference for employees, I feel the opportunity given to me has helped me in reaching my goals. I work with supportive colleagues who make me feel content and make me smile. I work in areas that interest me and inspire me to learn. I believe my work has an impact on the company as a whole. I love my job because everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to our company’s mission! I also believe CHH’S values align with my own.  My role involves challenges, which I have been able to overcome with teamwork support. I feel I am respected as an employee, and not treated merely as a number. I also feel the company has worked very hard to have a transparent culture, which we are all starting to experience.  Our new culture has stimulated the employees in helping to make the employees feel more productive.  I feel the growth CHHS has made has helped with employee retention, increased productivity, increased moral, and overall has helped to improve employee health.

I use to enjoy working here but not anymore. Once they don't need you they will make your life horrible so you can quit or they will fire you for dumb little things. It's all about the money and friends. If you can kiss up and be a piece of tail then you are safe. They are always downsizing in the provider offices but NEVER in corporate do they downsize. They just keep hiring more people and giving them special titles. Its horrible. People have families to support and put in 110% cause they need a job and love working here but corporate still doesn't care. Filing a complaint is useless because if its against one of the CEO's favorite then it wont be taken serious and will be ignored. Every side should have a voice and it doesn't happen here. We should also listen to our clients/patients but we don't even do that anymore. It's sad. Not giving everyone a fair chance when new opportunities are presented is a horrible way to run a business. And taking it upon yourself to hire who you want is unorthodox. So people applying here should just be aware of what happens in this company.

As an employee for 8 years, I have seen the company at its best, and at its worst. The current administration lacks leadership, recognition and respect for its employees, and their 'training team' lacks proper training etiquette or full knowledge of all position duties. Rules are always changing, based on which Corporate staff it comes from, and to whom they are directed. As a parent office, there is no guidance from upper management, and questions/concerns go unanswered and never addressed. Because of these issues, there is a high turnover rate, which leads to waiting years for merit raises that are below state standard, or career growth within the company (unless, of course, you are a member of select personnel). Flaunting of power and a severe lack of communication is common among upper management, which makes you feel inferior and under-appreciated.

I used to work over 8 hrs every day. There was a total of 8 people that resigned in a 2 month period. The Caprock LVN was allowed to use my license credentials in order to admit patients to Home Health Services without my approval (me being the Director of Nursing). Our administrator did not really know the patients being admitted to Caprock Home Health because another RN that oversees other offices was making decisions over me the Director and over the administrator. 
The atmosphere for every employee was poor. No one was happy, Every one was simply overworked.There was no willful cooperation from the employee managing medicaid programs towards improvement.  There was too much emotions, too much crying and deadlines were barely met with paper work.  It would take all my weekend in order to push for paper work to be submitted on time, plus a lot of collaboration with out of town office personnel to make it happen.

If you find a good office and good boss to work at its awesome. You deal with some drama. But the nurses/therapists get away with everything and there attitude stinks. If you don’t have a masters then you don’t know nothing even if you worked your way up and know more about your office (employees, culture and the way your clients think) in your own city than corporate. Corporate needs to stop telling management you’re not a team player if they don’t like an answer. Administrator and program director need to be the ones that hire not corporate. The people who have worked here want this company to succeed and when we give opinions and ideas we don’t want to be belittled after putting a show for we’re a team and we listen.

What is the best part of working at the company?
All i got to say i like to work with .y clients and to be able to care for them, i love to cook and to be able to cook for them is a pleasure

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing really as long as you do what you are supposed to do 
And you get a routine then there is nothing stressful.

Very good

Until last year when i was given the privilege to work again for the company

I have always loved working for people in need, it is my passion. However, the managers, supervisors, and other personnel are grotesque. Always late when meeting with a caregiver for a new client. The quality and consistency in communication is non-existent. Working for these lovely people isn’t the problem, but these under qualified higher-ups definitely is. I am very displeased and disappointed in this company. They were very insensitive to my needs as a person with autism. They pay isn’t that great and there are no reasonable benefits or resources to gain.

I'm a new employee and I truly appreciate their quick responses.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
So far, they are great! Always ready to help and efficient.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working out in the field is a smooth transition.  There is always someone available whenever needed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I worked outside in the field. I worked as a caregiver. Personally for me; I prep cook, cleaning the home, laundry, bathing assist as needed, shopping, and spend time with the client as a companion.

Private and family owned and ran. Owners and Corporate Management are very cliquish. If you do not fit into the clique, if you do not share their same belief system you will not last here. Most upper management hired based on friendship and or relation, rather than actual qualifications. Micromanagement is abundant, too many supervisors and not enough employees. Advancement does not come easily for anyone outside of Corporate, unless you are liked at the top. Advancement is based on popularity rather than actual ability and job performance.
