Great goals, the worse mangement & leadership, dont train you nor supply proper equipment, write you up to cover themselves, based off #s & litterally time you every move you make to rate your raises/ job performance, front desk not trained medically to triage pts & overloaded with calls & scheduling, back "care promoters" "pend" important orders to meet the times instead of pts needs/ care, great pcps, great co-workers, overly unnecessary micromanaging when the ones managing dont even know correct medical care, talked down to constantly, wolves in sheeps clothing,  MAs & LPNs do EXACT same duties, yet LPNS pay rate is higher, lack of supplies needed for pt care, HORRIBLE WIFI, faxes go down ALOT, no where in EMR system for nursing notes, ATC board controlled by snakes, they reel you in with the pt load being small not mentioning how much responsibility (ALL in office procedures..there's ALOT) is placed on "care promoter", no medical records department, time not allowed to finish tasks, threatened about overtime, great pts, pressured to harrass pts with marketing questions to convince them to "rate" clinic as a "10", during important pt care pulled aside to "huddle" & be ridiculed by supervisor, EVERY WORKER is taken advantage of here, pts are manipulated not to go to ER so company makes more $ off medicare, even when ER is whats needed, walk in rate is upsetting pts who have scheduled appts & barring too much on staff considering its been short staff including providers since day 1, whats the point of triage? To R/O the importance of which pt to see first...not here, they claim to be PCP lead...untrue...the PCPs voices are ignored by management & company, not enough pt rooms, "care promoters" are told by management/supervisor to drop orders in EMR...yet orders should be placed by PCP...ANYONE can place an order in this EMR & it goes in under the PCPs name, ANYONE can delete "notes" out of the EMR system, theres no oxygen labels or bio labels where needed, if your a "care promoter" that actually puts the pts first...you get maybe 10 minutes altogether at your desk...if your off the clock when you cant be bossed around. Everyone there is starting to give up & not care anymore, positive changes are not being made for the work enviroment, changes that are needed are not being made.

When I first took this job, I thought I was going to make an impact. Let's start with the positives. The centers are great, the concept is awesome, and the centers really do sell themselves. Most of your co-workers are pretty good too and tight knit. There is a ton of work gossip and favoritism though.  Another positive is that you probably have a chance to move up the ladder with their "hypergrowth" model, so if that's your thing and you put in your time, you may have a chance to get lucky and move up. Keep in mind, you will be under pressure and asked about growth every single day. I don't see any minorities being directors or in high positions, so there's that. You also really do grow to love the patients that go to your center too; they are the best part of the job bar none.

The bad?
Unorganized to the max. I knew stating day 2, when they had no idea where I would be trained, this job was going to be trouble.  

Commision sucks. All that paperwork for about 100$ per CFA and you only get paid if you hit seven. Only one person at my center was making a commission and that center must have had about 20 people the last year, or more. Many of these NMA's if entered wrong don't count even though they are patients. How fair is that? That's a joke. Also takes 60 days to get paid, which is another joke.

 Documenting and data entry of everything you did for the day including generating and putting in leads, having an event a day planned ahead, and also helping with the center events will wear you down in one month.  Essentially, you're doing 3 jobs in one. Sales, event planning and data entry. Not to mention the number of meetings this company has will make your head spin. Call blitz's too (call center environments), sometimes twice a week. Every day you will be asked "where will you get your NMA today" Be prepared to be held accountable on a daily basis etc. 

Bottom line, unless you have incredible contacts with the elderly in the community center you go to, have worked at oak street, or are a former broker, or know brokers it's going to be an uphill battle to make it. If you are reading this and just accepted the job as an MGC, make it the 3 months so you get guaranteed commission and get out unless you're killing it. I don't want to discourage people at all...Some people DO make it but there's a reason why most people move out of production and are hungry to jump to different roles in the company

During my time in this role, I’ve encountered several challenges that have significantly impacted my ability to perform effectively.

There is a lack of consistent leadership and guidance, compounded by high turnover at both the employee and management levels. The patient population is medically complex and requires a high level of care, yet provider coverage is unreliable. With only two CNPs and one medical doctor, frequent absences mean we are often left short-staffed. This puts strain on the remaining team and compromises continuity of care.

Support staff availability is also inconsistent. The medication technician, referral specialist, and care promoters are frequently absent, contributing to an unbalanced workflow and a chaotic environment. There is little structure in place, and overall morale seems low, which affects team cohesion and patient care delivery.

Additionally, policies and procedures are not applied consistently, making it difficult to carry out responsibilities effectively. There is a noticeable lack of clear communication, direction, and support from leadership.

I also want to express concern about the leadership approach of the team lead. There appears to be favoritism among certain employees, which becomes problematic during conflicts. Rather than mediating fairly, the team lead often takes sides, which discourages open communication and collaboration. Efforts to contribute or grow professionally may be met with resistance if they do not align with her expectations. Important team discussions sometimes exclude certain staff members, creating feelings of exclusion and confusion about team goals and updates.

Furthermore, punctuality and accountability from leadership should set an example. Since my start, the team lead has consistently arrived late and has shown limited engagement in supporting the broader team’s success.

Lastly, I feel that I was hired under misleading information regarding the company’s culture, team structure, and long-term stability. These discrepancies between expectations and reality have been disheartening.


The pay is okay and they buy you lunch, but that's really all I have to say that's positive. I was not adequately trained in my position, and was told by my supervisor that we're under a microscope essentially, which could be no doubt because of me. There were multiple daily tasks and other things that I did not know even needed done until months in to the job, and my trainer didn't let me know until a week before corporate was supposed to arrive for an audit. When I had questions during my training, I was met with "you know this," and "you'll have to learn to do it without me." Half of my training was spent with the trainer "shadowing me" on their phone. Instead of asking me why certain things didn't get done, to which I'd have simply said I wasn't trained right and did not know how, I was under pressure from everyone around me and pulled into different meetings where I was all but told I'm messing everything up. I was scolded for skipping lunches so I would have time to get things done, then told having no time wasn't an excuse. So you can't make time for things, just cram everything, in a position where you cannot afford to rush. I was accused of making excuses for everything and basically told that I'm just not trying, when one person has the responsibilities of a full-fledged pharmacy. Phonecalls, refill reminders, filling meds for patients in the facility, billing, answering questions, answering messages, walking patients out, signing stacks of paperwork daily, weekly reports that need emailed out, keeping up with doctors, putting inventory away the DAY it arrives no matter how much; but you HAVE to make time for all of it in one day because otherwise you're making them look bad, and my supervisor made sure I knew that. I am under constant pressure and burnt out. I'm exhausted and don't want to go to work anymore, let alone feel welcome, because every day I get told/reminded of what I'm doing wrong by everyone around me. What's funny is they preach about accountability; but yet take none if it makes them look bad. They'd rather blame you for everything. You are not allowed to be overwhelmed, because that's an excuse and "you wouldn't be there if you couldn't handle it."

I worked with podiatry for only 2 months after hired even tho I express my self in orientation I DO NOT have podiatry experience they promise they will teach me. After orientation I was thrown to my duties still not knowing what im doing. I barely had a lunch break because walk ins and double book , the doctor I was working with he talk to me bad really bad. The care promoter supervisor never check all on me just pass by the nursing station where i was located no good morning no how you doing no do u need a lunch break no nothing omg!!! This place is a night mare to work in.  Every day was huddle time in a huge conference room I didnt have time to go never because of my back to back patients.  I had 2 diffrents clinic locations to. Be responsible such as autoclave cleaning , opa solutions , sweeping and restocking rooms, scanning notes to the system of each patient, check my messages, ordering diabetic shoes , cane and walkers , following up with thoose orders, dressing and wound cleaning, apply una boots etccc... I mean this position is too much for one care promoter responsibility. Any way on my 2nd month working there the hiring manger and the floor supervisor call me to the conference room and told me my job performance dont meet up and By this time frame i should off had every thing down pack.  But i know it was a lie to me personally was because they saw my frustration , my stressfull, not happy face that was all to it. So please MAs every job is hard but working in this place is like living in hail. Clock in time is 730 am but remember at that time there is patients waiting so u have to be there around 7am to get every thing together and the clock out time is 430pm but remember restocking callin back patients refill autoclave etcsss I clock out around 6pm.

First, let me just say that I have personally experienced what all these other people are saying.

They tell the patients to come there don’t go to the hospital, even if you are having a heart attack or seizures. Referring patients for tests or to see another doctor takes months. Corporate has no clue what is going on at any of the locations.  NOTE: I NOT ONLY WROTE HR ON THIS OF WHICH THEY DISMISSED MY COMPLAINT, BUT ALSO WROTE CORPORATE, OF COURSE, NO ANSWER!! They also put alot of stress on you to meet the numbers. Numbers more important then treating employees fairly as well as any patient that might have a concern/complaint.

Just a bad company to work for no fun employed are always sad no training bad management no support from management

When I started I had nobody to turn to and lean on when I needed help my supervisor was learning right along with me and never had answer for me. I had two days of Orientation but that was learning the core values and standard. I did not receive training specifically in my job duties so it was a lot of confusion on what I’m supposed to do. My leaders would tell me I’m over stepping then I’m not doing enough. It’s so much growth within the company with constant turnover.

They talk about love, accountability, and passion...but this is what they expect from employees...not given to employees. From my experience as an employee, I was not shown much love or accountability (from those falsely blaming others).

they will attack if you disagree with favoritism being shown. its a negative workplace




Everyday you are told to do something new. Mgmt are a joke, they don't do what they are supposed to do, and don't back you at all. The patients can say what they want and no one says a word. Your belittled in front of other co workers and pts. 
If you have a free second, your asked are you with a pt. You can't finish what your working on currently. If the patients are in the lobby for more than 9 min, your mgr or lead is yelling to get them back. 
Its a not what you know work place, its who your friends with first. lots of favoritism. 
Turn around is awful, mgmt. is not of clinical/healthcare backgrounds. They hire who they like and not what they know. You take test to come in to be hired. If you pass it don't mean your in either.  Everyday your huddled into a huge group. Pt's comment it's like a cult. Your required to memorize the company motto. 
If you are a type of person to speak your mind. You will not work out, your work ethic and knowledge does not mean anything. They promise many things and don't hold to them. If you think you are gonna move up or go far it's not happening. 
The providers are the best, they are the only ones who have your back. There has been many times that mgmt. will go to lunch and not make sure their providers have taken theirs yet. Mgmt/leads will leave everyone to fend for themselves, no lunch, no break. Providers have had to stay way past closing due to overwhelming practice. Specialty providers do not take walk ins unless approved by provider. Lead/mgmt. do not go by this rule and will place patients in with the provider without speaking to them. Many times Lead/Mgmt have belittled Providers in front of staff. Just not okay.

Working here is similar to the cutaway on Spongebob where all the employees look miserable and stuck in cubicles. Seriously, Working here is a nightmare The Doctors are treated like Gods and can be very demanding, disrespectful and unethical and are still allowed to practice medicine here. There is one Doctor who is very disrespectful and refuses to work with any male ancillary staff. ChenMed continues to allow him to work here because they only care about getting patients in the door and being seen by providers so they can milk medicare of as much money as they want. 

The Nursing Supervisor is very evil. She will degrade her staff and disrespect them in front of other employees, patients and will micromanage employees. She is allowed to stay because of her long tenure with the company and she has got in good with the right people.  

As a Care Promoter you are forced to do the job of a LPN/MA, Phlebotomist, Social Worker, Case Manager, and Office Manager. The workload is extremely heavy. You are required to be able to complete all of the stuff they give you in 8 hours while seeing walk in patients and anything your boss comes up with for you to do. You will then be yelled at and degraded if you cannot complete your work and need more time. Forget about asking for help or extra training. There is no teamwork or collaboration. Everything is made up as you go along things change daily and are not consistent. 

This company considers itself a Christian organization however i beg to differ. None of there actions reflect or represent Christ.

The office staff were not pleasant when greeting me when I arrived for my interview. The 2 what I assume were receptionists were actually laughing that I came in scrubs (this was the attire per recruiter.) After a 3 hour long interview (which was mainly sitting in the waiting room in between the written test, the skills test, and the “behavioral” test) I got offered the job next day. The recruiter told me it was a soft offer, offering $25 an hour, and that I should put in my 2 week notice at my current company. Thank god I didn’t because the recruiter didn’t call for a week, then called and asked if I was ready to start the following week. Oh and they could only offer me $23, not the original $25 an hour. You’re required to pay for your own drug test and titers. To elaborate on The interview process- the test is just a general nursing test that even the staff can’t decide on. If there are 5 rights or 7 rights, every school is taught differently. The staff themselves need to use an answer key and I had to argue a question that I got wrong because it was right. The skills portion is basic nursing skills that are demonstrated on a fake arm or verbally walked through. And behavioral is like an actual interview with a 3 person panel. The company kept saying that it was concierge medicine but it’s really not. It’s 3 hours of my life that I wasn’t paid for that would have only required 45 minutes if the interviewers were prepared. I personally thought all of the above was too ridiculous to actually continue with the employment. Nurses, talk to your friends. There is nothing but bad word of mouth around the community.
