My typical day at work when I start my day I always ask my colleague what's the next task for the day and I check communication book for any duties for the day. I also ask the Pharmacist if there are any Stats and Important routes to do first. What I learned on this place is teamwork and communication, management treatment is good and sometimes there are shortcomings but overall they work professionally. Co-workers are great we made a lot of communications at times on every shift and on the next shift. Couriers are also helpful when times are busy. The hard part on the job when queue on orders of medications, pharmacy techs and typists come together with some of the Couriers when you are so busy scanning the medications for delivery but I still continue to work patient and in professional manner. The enjoyable part is that when you work together as a team and when we meet our goals we treat and reward ourselves with food.

I truly love my job as a caregiver because it gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every single day. Being there for someone when they need support, comfort, and companionship is incredibly rewarding. I enjoy helping others maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life, especially during difficult moments. The relationships I build with the people I care for are genuine and deeply fulfilling, and I appreciate the trust they place in me. Caregiving has taught me patience, compassion, responsibility, and the importance of empathy. Even on challenging days, I feel proud knowing that my work matters and positively impacts someone else’s well-being. I also value the emotional connection and sense of purpose that comes with helping others feel safe, respected, and cared for. For me, caregiving is more than just a job—it is meaningful work that I am honored to do every day.

This was an ok place to work if you wanted to gain experience in working with elderly or disabled seniors or adults. However the pay here is not good at all. You will be expected to do things like clean a clients home as well as do their dirty laundry, assist in grooming them and even assisting in bathing them, and changing there adult diapers (if need be), as well as prepping, preparing and/or cooking meals (in some cases some clients may actually need to be spoon fed), and occasionally give prescribed medication already approved by a family member or doctor. You may even occasionally be required to use your own vehicle to take clients to run errands or doctors appointments and the gas compensation is not very much either. This is a whole lot for very little pay. And can be very exhausting work especially if you have a client with dementia.  

I started from the bottom of the company; worked my self to mentor training program. training was poor. communication with management was poorly ran. a big fraction of long term employees stop working due the fact superior supervision  Superintendent wasn't responsible  to communicate back to co workers. I kept asking for a performance review. some rates promised werent honored. more than twice my paycheck was short. besides staff. each client i was responsible called my supervisor personalized positive feedback. I had clients family be so grateful and had trusted me to have bank debtcard, information to provide any economic support. and drive client personal vehicles. I highly gratified my job and took serious pride in my job. wish I was  Appreciated.

I have worked for Coast Care for almost 5 years and I have never worked with a more dedicated and focused group of people.  Making sure that our clients are safe, well taken care of, and receive excellent service is the #1 goal at all times.  I have personally recommended our services to two of my dearest friends, which I would never do if I had any hesitation that their parents would not receive the best possible service.  Both were extremely pleased with the level of care their parents received. Especially in dealing with Covid19, I have been amazed at the level of service and the amount of time and attention that goes into making sure that our clients and Home Care Aides stay safe.  

I started working at coast care about 8 years ago as a caregiver. I was offered the job the same day I went to take all my paperwork. I came out with my first client who I was with until he passed about 2 years. Then I had another great client. At that time I was offered to help the office and from there I was offered a different position  to be care coordinator. That didn’t last because I tried scheduling and that has been a passion for me. I love to help the caregivers and the clients to get their right match and  the hours they need. Coast care has been a great place to work and grow. I am thankful and I know many people will see what a great place it is to work at once they start with us. 

I began with Coast Care as a caregiver 2 years ago working Facility shifts and as a Stand-By caregiver. The hours were flexible to my schedule and there was no pressure to work more than I desired. Ideal arrangement to gain experience and further advance a career in healthcare. After 2 months I was offered a position in the Recruiting Department allowing me to grow professionally and understand the internal workings of the company.  I have continued to grow in this company and have earned many opportunities to expand my professional experience. 

There is a lot to learn but it is rewarding at the end because you can do your job in a safe and competent manner. My day will depend on the client that I will be assisting during the day I night. Make sure I’ve read the notes on the client. What you learn about this job is the everyday struggles of people needing health care for their loved ones or for them selves. The job is hard when you deal with a mix of emotional and physical issues with the client. The enjoyable part is learn and hear the the diverse experiences of all the clients.

The hardest part of the job is changing a hospice patient by myself, especially if they are large.

I work in a sales role and support the office/operations team. My colleagues are all very professional, supportive, and caring of one another. The company provides a wonderful service for clients who truly appreciate the help. I feel like I make a difference for seniors - every day. I’ve worked for a couple different home care organizations in sales roles; this is by far the best company I’ve been a part of. Management is understanding and they truly appreciate your work. This is a great team to be a part of.
