Working at Comanche County Memorial has been a great experience overall. On the job, I have learned all the tasks that make up a Buyer position, and have realized I truly love it. A typical day at work consists of placing special orders for all the departments I am in charge of, monitoring those orders, tracking, receiving, etc. I also work to resolve any invoices that come across with issues whether it's a pricing discrepancy, wrong item number, or different UOM. I work with vendors on a daily basis to locate the best prices, item information, and to maintain a good standing relationship. My job allows me to perform my duties with minimal supervision. If need be, I always ask for help, or ask questions pertaining to situations that may arise where I am not fully positive on what to do without a second opinion from either my manager, or theirs. My co-workers and I work as a team, which is great if any of us miss work for whatever reason. They are reliable and I am the same in return. The hardest part of the job would be on days where work is overwhelming due to orders and department requests coming in at such a high volume that it will put any other projects or duties on hold. Time management is definitely a huge part of my job and helps to ensure I do complete everything. The most enjoyable part of my job is finally finding what I love to do. I am grateful for when the opportunity came about for this position. It has given me a better sense of direction in where I would like to go career-wise.

Overall, I liked working for Comanche County Memorial Hospital as a paramedic. I was promoted to shift supervisor within 6 months of getting my paramedic license, so I like to think they saw something in me from the start. 
On average, we ran about 600-700 calls in a months time, and that does start to take a toll, on the staff as well as the vehicles. Because I have a degree in automotive technology, I was always tasked with any minor repairs that were needed for the ambulances. When one needed to go to a shop, I was usually who the techs dealt with, because I knew what they were talking about. 
The people I worked with were great. They came together as a team when it was needed and, for the most part, things were handled in house if a problem ever came up. I'm not one who is afraid to approach you and hash out any problems we may have. I'd say my piece and go about my work. 
The hardest part of the job, by far, was the stress. I never realized how much of a negative impact it had on my life, as well as those around me, until I quit and my wife pointed it out. That's why I've decided that it's time to find something else to do. I've had my career as a medic, now on to something new.
I'd have to say the most enjoyable part of that job was those calls where you think a patient won't make it, and you're able to keep them alive, or even resuscitate them and get them to the hospital for better, more advanced care.

Worked in housekeeping a few months back and all I can say is WOW. When I first started all of the other housekeeping employees kept telling me how they can’t keep housekeepers and I finally figured out why. The housekeeping leads are so rude and talk so badly about coworkers. Also, the job started off at 8.50 and I honestly feel like you do way too much for that. Another thing as a housekeeper is that when patients would tell you they needed something you have to tell the RNs and when I told them they would get so mad and talk so badly about the patients . My experience was awful. The hours are so great in the morning but when you have a job with management and supervisors that don’t act professional and nurses who act like they hate their jobs makes you not want to work there. There was one patient who told me they were scared to press their help buttons on their beds because they didn’t want the nurses to “gripe”
At them. If it would make a difference I would report almost everyone in housekeeping and all of the nurses that work on 3 west . If there is anywhere you can take your family to be treated please do so. That should tell you a lot  especially coming from someone who worked there .

The coworkers were overall really kind, hardworking people. They frequently went above and beyond to care for the patients and work as a team. That said, training was always rushed due to the high turnover rate, turning into a game of "telephone" (employee #1 trains employee #2 but leaves out some information, employee #2 trains employee #3 and leaves out even more information, etc.) Getting the opportunity to be trained on different positions in the department was as easy as teaching quantum physics to a pigeon. The pay wasn't nearly enough for all the work that people did there and raises go up at the same rate that a snail climbs up a mountain. Those in part time positions were offered health insurance, but the prices were almost the same amount as the paycheck, so part timers effectively had no access to health insurance. Being frequently short staffed made getting all the tasks done nearly impossible unless you consumed enough energy drinks to induce heart palpitations. You do learn useful skills related to the position and general skills such as "Do more with less and do it with a smile (while screaming internally)."

Would highly recommend not working MMG Neurosurgery.

Pro: good work life balance for personal care and appointment.

Con: Extremely short staff and no respect for the employees. They just put a body in a spot with no proper training or clear description of your job duties within your clinic, they just give a general packet that they probably printed off from some website. You have assigned providers and no such thing as team work environment. You are responsible of scribing for your provider, rooming for your provider, placing orders and following up on your orders. You schedule your own patients cause front desk are to busy to do the job they are hired to do. Excessive amount of duplicate work because they work on three different systems that don't communicate with each other.  Supervisor is constantly comparing work to others with the expectation of doing the work that requires three other people and does not consider each person circumstances because if one person can do it you can do it. Practice Management is a joke, they have no care for the employee concerns and tell you you're paid to do a job. The pay is trash close to minimum wage, benefits is overpriced/covers nothing, and no 401k

Offered long work days, but this suited me fine at the time.
Since I've been here, I have learned a great deal in the areas of CT, MRI, and patient care. In the last 10 years, I have earned a very responsible position.
My co-workers are about like they are anywhere, Some are exceptional, I try to stay closest to them, and this has allowed me to improve my standards in practice.
Management here has always made me scratch my head and wonder why. Many decisions from above don't reflect much knowledge of how things are down here at the patient contact level. And, of course, they don't ask us for any input. Few of the local managers seem interested in actual leadership, functioning mostly as fire putter-outers. And when ordinary daily problems arise, more interested in punishment than support and encouragement. Teamwork is nearly non-existent.
The best part of my job, by far, is patient care and contact.I have this job because I care deeply about the people who walk in the door with infirmity, illness or injury. This is my calling.

When I started working for Comanche County Memorial Hospital I was in the Emergency Room as an admitting clerk. I saw a lot of pain but the experience has lasted me a lifetime. I moved to out patients and then was able to achieve the career move that I wanted to being a Telemetry Tech. This love has lasted for a lifetime. I had worked for this hospital and enjoyed not only the skills and the knowledge that I received but the opportunity of working with some great co-workers and patients. The most enjoyable part of this jobs is watching the heart monitor and seeing how the heart is working and catching a life-threatening arrhythmia that might have saved the patient. The knowledge and skills that I have received from working there has benefited me for every job that I have held. It is the detail that I have learned and working as a team member is what it is all about. Even though it has been along time since I left this hospital, I have taken with me the knowledge that this was the best job I have ever had and provided me with a lifetime of what I want to take to every job that I have had since.

You don’t ever get proper training , They expect you to sacrifice your life for a job that pays the same as a gas station . You don’t matter , they only care about the patients . Your leaders won’t back you up instead they’ll tell you to do more . Anything you do won’t ever be Good enough . If you have kids and the little ones are sick - who cares ? Not them . You’ll get a write up if you call out 3 times in ONE month . The people in this environment are so hypocritical, you’ll honestly feel like your back in high school and will feel casted out if you call bull out . You don’t get paid holidays - you’re using your own pto that takes 6 months to even be able to have a week saved . They make you do MANDATORY overtime , if your kids in daycare guess what you’ll have to keep them their longer . I’m not even doing what the position offers - I’m doing that and then some . On top of that you’ll have patients calling threatening you , doctors cussing you out the whole nine yards . I promise it’s not worth it - My
Mental health has deteriorated, but hey - as long as the job gets done right .

Management absolutely is horrible. I had my intelligence insulted almost daily, was criticized openly in from of other employees and treated like I was less than because I don’t have a college degree. I should have known there was a catch in the department with the pay rate, and only after I had started employment did I come to learn my position was held and resigned from in the double digits due to the same reasons I resigned. I ended up getting diagnosed with ulcers because of the constant stress from the management. 
Workplace culture within the department I was employed was nearly nonexistent.
The hardest portion of the job was the anxiety of waiting to “get in trouble” over something out of my control.
The most enjoyable portion of the job was definitely the other wonderful employees I was able to develop relationships with and the awesome individuals that I ordered for and assisted. They are the ONLY reason I stayed for 5 months. 

THE PAY ISN’T WORTH IT. 


Multiple personal attacks have came up from supervisor  and I was told by the Director I needed to work harder to be accepted by my coworkers. Favoritism is a very common thing in this particular department, can't speak for other departments but this one is very high in favoritism being shown. Was told I need to work my way to prove myself as able to do my job and worth my to be a respected worker. Personal attacks on my character have happened and I have worked here for 6 months and am still treated as the outcast. Work really hard and never receive recognition or positive comments. Very belittling and supervisor likes to put individuals and patients down. If you can handle having to prove yourself 24/7 and can take negative comments then you could try to work in outpatient therapy as an Aide.
