I worked at Copper Ridge Surgery Center for almost 9 years. I honestly hated to leave, but had to because of having to move for family reasons.  There are many staff members who have been there since day 1 almost 20 years ago. I know places where managers will say it is like a family, but this really is like a family, especially in endoscopy where I worked most recently. You are very busy and it is fast paced, but you also get to know the doctors and anesthesia personnel and it is just a fun place to be. My manager was excellent, supportive, helpful, and hands down was the best manager I ever had. The CEO is approachable and present. There are some complaints heard about the middle management and the communication, but overall it did not affect my wonderful experience at this facility. Would go back in a heartbeat.

A typical day is greet, sign in and register patients. Verify demographics, scan DL, insurance card and any documentation supplied. Explain time frame of visit and notify pre op that patient has been registered. Call or page patient companion when appropriate. Determin surgery arrival times and notify patient by phone also giving pre op instruction. Throughout the day you must answer multi line phone and assist caller or direct to appropriate departments/persons. Use of overhead paging system. Assist with non job related tasks.

The atmosphere is great and team oriented. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some days can be very busy creating a little stress but don't actually feel much stress. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Both are great!! It's a very team oriented environment. All of my fellow employees have been very helpful and considerate! I think it's a great place to work! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
7am start time I answer phones, greet and sign most patients until my hour lunch break. After lunch it's more of the same with the addition of outgoing calls informing patients of their scheduled procedures for the next day.

This is a very fast paced work environment. You often go home not feeling like you were given the time to safely care for your patients. The expectations of the physicians (investors) is unrealistic. They strongly focus on how fast you are able to get patients through. The staff and middle management are pressured to go faster. Great co-workers/ work family. They make the job!

I was one of the original employee's hired in upon opening this free standing surgery center almost 15 years ago. I have enjoyed being part of this growing company and continue to be an advocate and  cheerleader for it's continued success.

Copper RIdge is an amazing place to work. Supervisors are understanding, kind and supportive. The president, Tina, is so sweet and makes it a priority to be there every day and knows all of the employees by name. Lots of fun events put on for the staff. A big family.

Management and team leaders are always available and helpful. They have created  a superior work environment. Benefits and bonuses are top notch. Very proud to be part of such a wonderful healthcare team.

Great co-workers, competitive pay and benefits. The culture is pretty good and everyone seems to care about their jobs and patients. I would strongly recommend working there.

Everyone is friendly and works well together.  No drama and back stabbing like I have experienced at other facilities. I highly recommend working at this facility.

I currently work at Copper Ridge in Pre/Post. The company truly cares about you and our boss is always flexible and understanding. Feels like a big family.
