What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with angry patients and answering high volume calls, especially working in the primary clinic. Clinic manager states she is there to support you and can ask her anything, but when you need help and ask for help she turns it around we remarks like , I send you an email about it, basically find the answer and do it yourself. It is not a team  working in environment, more like you better learn it in your own and do it yourself. Which sucks because training for new employees was not proper at all, you basically get thrown in without proper training, and that’s why most start and  quit, we feel overwhelmed, and no support from management . My advice train Clinic Manager first before hiring new employees, or this trend will continue

Unorganized, no support from management. In proper training. Some times relaxing. The only thing good is the work schedule and benefits

Overwhelmed, must have patience, you will deal with angry patients daily

Working under this director was one of the most frustrating professional experiences of my career. From the very beginning, it was clear that micromanagement was the norm—not the exception. Every task, no matter how small, required approval. There was little to no trust placed in the expertise or judgment of the team, which created an environment of constant second-guessing and fear of making independent decisions.

Instead of empowering staff, the director inserted themselves into every detail, often undoing or redoing work without explanation. Feedback was rarely constructive—it felt more like control than guidance. Team morale suffered significantly, and creativity and initiative were stifled as a result.

Despite my best efforts to adapt and communicate, it became clear that growth and autonomy were impossible in this environment. I value collaboration, trust, and leadership that fosters development—not one that micromanages people into burnout. In the end, I made the difficult but necessary decision to resign.

Leaving was the healthiest decision I could’ve made, both professionally and personally.

This place is a joke and you will never get anywhere professionally with this place except for burnout, stress and lots of frustration!! The CEO is as corrupt as it gets and doesn’t trust the people that are hired to do the job they are trained to perform, so expect to be micromanaged. There is extremely high turnover, just look at all the job postings, your expected to “hit the ground running” and expected to know every part of your job within the first 30 days or let go. 3 CFO’s, 6 controllers and 3 complete staffing turnovers in fiscal alone in the past 4 years. This place is fiscally a mess, restricted funds are used for other under performing programs. Just a MESS!

My colleagues are really kind and supportive in what is a very difficult work culture.

Leadership micromanages all activities and requires salaried staff to remain at their desks when not on a timed break or lunch. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overbearing and punitive. Using sick time is viewed as an imposition on the organization. Salaries are intentionally set at the 50th percentile in the most expensive region in the state. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Uninspired and mundane. The mission is kept distant from non-program staff.

Low balled, no room for advancement, poor leadership! Right when I build a bond and real soon ships with families and children they moved to to another school! They get grants then the money disappears! As I teacher I had to purchase my own materials! The classrooms are poor quality with nothing up to date! At my center we did not have any materials! The ceo insulted us teachers at a meeting where only certain teachers received a 50 buck grift card!! This is the most stressful job I had where I was emotionally drained on the daily!!! You won’t be able to survive on the pay! 

This work place is hostile, toxic , with out dated materials! No room for advancement and your hard work is not appreciated! Low balled teachers that make you buy your own supplies out of pocket with no  Reimbursement! They get grants and spend the money on personal things! When you build a bond with the families and children they will force you to go with another school to save money! This place brings stress and it is not worst my happiness! They will drain you emotional as a teacher over work you with no support and have high expectations that are impossible to be met! They will do anything to save a penny for them! Run as the other mentioned not worth the stress! 

Screened assigned clients/patients in accordance to their presenting issues and explore their stressors by maintaining an unconditional positive regard. Wrote progress notes on each client after a session is conducted. Collaborate with other agencies in respect of client's well-being, and meet with my supervisor for individual consultation. When scheduled, made a comprehensive presentation to my peer group and received feedback for the improvement of my therapeutic skills.

A typical day starts with optimism on what needs to be accomplished and strategy on how to approach each case based on presenting circumstances.

I learned that every client is unique and every case needs individual attention.

Management was very supportive by providing necessary resources to make my workload manageable.

I worked well with co-workers and the office was culturally diverse.

The hardest part of the job is not being able to meet the needs of the client due to funding issues.

The most enjoyable part of the job is feeling good about helping people through empowerment.

0/10. Would not recommend. Joke of a CEO, awful company with terrible standards. You do the math. The staff is set up to fail due to lack of support, and unfortunately, the patients are the ones on the receiving end. If you desire an experience of endless burnout and stress with no change in sight, this is the place for you. You will be low-balled and expected to do the job of 5 people while being told you’re not doing enough.  This may be the last non-profit I ever work for. Left a very sour taste in my mouth. Please protect your peace and avoid this place. 

This company does not provide proper training, you have to figure everything out on your own. The CEO puts constant pressure on employees, and you’ll always feel stressed because they constantly check in only to ask how much money and how many patients you are bringing in. Management never listens to problems and only cares about themselves. They expect you to do the work of three people for the same pay. I do not recommend working here.
