I am content with my current workload, as it adequately fits the requirements of my position. I have encountered no issues with management, and I value the autonomy afforded to me. My colleagues consistently exhibit professionalism and are exceptionally supportive, always ready to assist when needed. Resources are easily accessible, which enhances our efficiency. Moreover, the option to work remotely under certain circumstances adds to the flexibility of the job. Additionally, the company benefits are competitive, which further enhances job satisfaction. Furthermore, I have been provided with the necessary equipment needed for work, ensuring that I can perform my tasks effectively.  Despite the overall positive work environment, the off-campus hospital office can become crowded and noisy, leading to a lack of privacy and sometimes feeling claustrophobic. This issue primarily impacts our team's ability to work comfortably and efficiently, contrasting with the experience of those working directly on the main campus."

Great place to work, training given regularly in groups and individual training if needed.  They care for the patients they are overseeing and do best possible job to get patient to where they need to be as most have many complications with their health issues.  Emergent issues are quickly expedited to next phase needed.  No tug and pull each needed department works hand in hand with each other to expedite patient care.  Employee questions get answered when asked or company will promptly refer you to whom can reply with answer or direction.  TEAM company most people help each other when help is needed, and I had a great immediate supervisor and Case Mgr RN

Though I am quite healthy thank God I loved the idea that we had an immediate care facility right on campus so if you became ill during work you could go get checked, and if your primary care physician was on campus you could go in for a regular appointment on your break or lunch hour no problem...VERY convenient.

I appreciated working at  DOHC as a HCC risk adjustment Coder II / auditor.
The interview was comfortable and easy with department manager, she was very easy to talk to. Training was self paced, weekly meeting with supervisor. I was about a year out of medical coding and billing school, still needed to get my CCS certificate & was hired anyways. The company gave me a year to obtain certification, credentials which is great for a new coder! I got hands on experience while studying for AHIMA CCS. My co-workers were very helpful and available for any questions I had ( some more so than others ;)! I loved working at DOHC in the coding dept. I left for higher pay and a remote job. IF DOHC matched the pay of my current employer I'd never would have left. Management was easy going and flexible with hours , allowed workers to work earlier or later when needed for appts or family matters. Miss the crew and management. 

I worked for DOHC for several years. It was a cushy job with the laid back Cali attitude from providers and staff. The issue was: APPs (NP/PAs) are paid low, no benefits or very little, and NO PTO for APPs, at least in the Immediate Care. You are expected to work and see patients that MDs/DOs should only see in the Immediate Care while the MDs cherry pick and complain when you do not see the chest pain or stroke that just walked in. The Immediate Care is ran more like a budget ER with not enough resources. The patients are bullied to go to IC first, and if they go to ER, which most should, then they fear getting hit with a hefty bill and tarred and feathered. So, too many codes occur in the Immediate Care; patients come there when they passed up the ER where they should've gone. You WILL be paid lower than customary in the field. Always understaffed; promotion goes to who they like, who they favor or who has the brownest nose ;)

Overall my experience with Desert Oasis was some what  pleasing I enjoyed working as Medical Assistant in the back office, especially with the physicians. Desert Oasis always put their patients first, I also admired that quality and the beauty of the campus.   The Senior  back office medical assistance were bullies, and non productive, they spent too much time belittling the co -workers, the biggest bully was the Supervisor who demanded respect but could not give respect in return, she grew very dependent on her favorite back office bullies. Sadly that became a division among co- workers.

I was hired to handle the contracts specialists doctors and ancillary agreements and generally oversee the contracts department for this Managed care organization. However, once it was discovered they had an experienced lawyer on campus, every department head sent me their contracts to review, negotiate and approve for signature.  It was such a joy assisting with and learning about all of the different departments that make this organization run. It was a fast paced position since all revolves around a contract; answering inside and outside questions of what each contract covered and resolving any problems that resulted therefrom.  I enjoyed my work very much.

I was with the company for 3 years and believed 150% in the company's goals and values. They strive for Cost Containmentmt and seek to improve Healthcare across the Spectrum. Unfortunately I was forced to work with disrespectful and hostile employees and told just ignore it. I did the same amount of work as 4 in patient case managers and stressed daily over getting all my work done before day end. When asked for help they provided someone but would allow them to either leave at whim or send them to do other task without informing me... Poor communication and lack of care for frontline associates.

The young girls that work here are very unprofessional and lack empathy for the patients and other staff. Staff is way too clicky and you have a manager trying to fit in with the bad crowd. Obviously they have no other experience than coming straight out of Mayfield, which isn't great either.
Management could do better at reprimanding immature staff, but what do you expect. You're learned what you've been taught.
Pay could be better especially with actual people with the experience. Let this be the last resort for employment! 

In my time with DOHC, I  was very happy and had an amazing experience. I learned so much and was a floating medical assistant. This meant I work from every end of the medical spectrum that they offer to their patients. I learned alot everyday about people and the professional world on a larger scale.
I was not backed up by my immediate supervisor and was sabotaged by a fellow employee and as far as HR at that time the fairness was biased in my opinion. I resigned .

Needs better management. Appreciate your hard working employees.. But doctors are friendly & great! I enjoyed my job a lot in the beginning but most hard work goes unnoticed by management. Every year there is an employee banquet and employee appreciation week but it’s very generic for all employees. No personal growth or acknowledgement. Also pay raises are low and the work load can be a lot sometimes. So without a good raise or proper acknowledgement and appreciation it kind of drags lol.. but the company has good benefits
