If I'm being honest, I would never work for this company again. As a new grad, I was very excited to accept a position and fell for a false idea of what the agency would be like. The position itself was great, but looking back, I could’ve gotten a much better deal at a different company. The staff does a great job of selling you on a supportive environment and “great” benefits. However, as soon as they lock you into a contract, the communication with management and your recruiter changes drastically. They only contact you when they want something done and it’s usually in a very rude manner. Their retention rate is low so you’ll have a new recruiter every few months. Although this was annoying, the worst part about this company is the lack of benefits. They offer absolutely no PTO. So if you don’t work, you don’t get paid. As a new grad, I didn’t consider this as much as I should’ve. Let’s say you get sick one day or your car breaks down or you have a vacation planned…your check will be short (and I’m talking $400-1,000’s short for a few days). When I was offered my 3rd and final contract, I advocated for PTO and they offered 24hrs. Compared to the 5 weeks I was offered at a different company for the same position, this was laughable. It’s simply not competitive. Even their 401k matching isn’t competitive compared to other companies. These are all things that I’ve learned to consider more seriously during the interviewing process. Lastly, they have included a non compete clause in their contracts for “the past 14 years” (as I was told). I’m not sure if this is still in practice as the new federal legislation will ban non competes nationally (although it is not in effect as of yet, which they will remind you). This clause bans you from working for the company/school district they employed you with for 2 years. So even if you find another company for your position with better benefits, they will sue you for $25,000 if you attempt to work for that company (and trust me, they will act on that). Overall, the whole company, from management to the recruiters, is money hungry, unreasonable, and unsupportive. There are so many other contracting agencies (that have access to the exact same positions) that will take much better care of you. 

For part time, you work school days 6 hours a day. which is great because you get flexibility to do anything else outside of those hours. and if you love working with kids, you'll love this! school staff is usually very friendly. 
The BAD part is that you don't get paid for any of the days that school is out, so pay really sucks and is barely enough to pay rent especially now with inflation. (There are other agencies that pay full time hours and days off) also some other agencies pay more, upwards of $10 - $15 more an hour. 
You won't really get any training. there is a 6-hour orientation where they pretty much read off a pamphlet and throw a bunch of information in your face and then throw you into a school all on your own.  there is a chat with other nurses in schools that you can ask questions but it's not the same as at least one day of training. they did offer that you can shadow another nurse before you start, but that is UNPAID. honestly kind of ridiculous. as nurses, we have a lot of liability and especially for new grads training is important. also, you will need to do a ton of paperwork which is up to you and the chat with the other nurses to figure out how to fill out. oh, and they make you pay for your own background check which I've never had to do with any other company I've worked for.
management is always changing things up and then saying that we "should know this" when no one actually has told us. and they are constantly threatening to take disciplinary action if we make a mistake, but again barely any training???? CRAZY anyways 
you do work pretty much on your own and no one really bothers you that much which is nice, but you do get audited once a month so better be on top of your stuff that no one really taught you how to do. which don't say that you didn't know something to management because they expect you to know without any training. :) 
I would say this is a great opportunity if done PRN. 

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel future applicants deserve an honest perspective.

My experience at EDU Healthcare was disappointing and ultimately led me to resign shortly after joining the company. During training, employees were encouraged to ask questions, yet many questions went unanswered or were met with responses that did not provide the clarification needed to perform the job effectively.

I also experienced a communication style from leadership that was frequently dismissive, confrontational, and intimidating. On multiple occasions, I was interrupted while asking questions and made to feel uncomfortable seeking guidance. The final incident involved a work-related question that resulted in what I perceived to be an aggressive and unprofessional interaction, after which I felt I could no longer be successful in the organization.

When I raised my concerns with HR, I was informed that this behavior was considered "direct communication." In my 15 years of experience in recruiting and HR, I have worked with many strong leaders and direct communicators, but I believe there is a significant difference between being direct and creating an environment where employees feel intimidated or discouraged from asking questions.

Additionally, during training, I heard a statement from leadership indicating a preference for hiring women. As an HR professional, I found that concerning and inconsistent with the principles of fair and inclusive hiring practices.

Potential applicants should do their due diligence, ask detailed questions about leadership style, training support, and company culture during the interview process, and determine whether the environment aligns with their expectations and professional values.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It is a rare thing to find a company that stays as rewarding in year nine as it was on day one, but that is exactly what I have experienced here. As a Senior Accountant, I have had a front-row seat to our growth, and I could not be prouder of where we are and what we stand for. For me, there is nothing more motivating than knowing your daily work supports a mission to assist special needs children in school systems nationwide. Regarding their management style and philosophy, EDU’s management team does not just "manage"; they support. Throughout my 9-year tenure, I have consistently felt heard, valued, and encouraged, and have been given numerous opportunities to level up my skills and advance into senior roles. Work/life balance is also extremely important to me. Many companies talk about balance, but this one actually practices it. They respect your time outside of the office, which has been key to my long-term happiness here. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work can be fast-paced due to our nationwide reach, but the supportive team dynamic makes it completely manageable.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is collaborative, positive, and filled with people who are genuinely dedicated to the cause.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of working at EDU Healthcare, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. The organization is incredibly unorganized, which leads to confusion and frustration among employees. There seems to be a lack of clear communication and direction, making it difficult to perform our jobs effectively. Moreover, the work environment is overly competitive. Instead of fostering a sense of teamwork and collaboration, employees are pitted against each other. This toxic atmosphere discourages support and camaraderie, which are essential in any workplace. Unfortunately, the leadership team is not much better. They are rude and dismissive, showing little regard for the well-being of their staff. It feels as though they care more about meeting numbers than supporting their employees. This lack of empathy and support has made my time at EDU Healthcare both discouraging and unfulfilling. Overall, I would not recommend working at EDU Healthcare unless you thrive in a chaotic and cutthroat environment. It's a shame, as a more supportive and organized approach could make it a much better place to work.

Eduhealthcare employees went the extra mile.  They were responsive to employment questions related to compensation, interviewing, and follow-through.  There are numerous forms that one must fill out which seem somewhat redundant, e.g. preemployment contract, intent to take a position, the fact that you have to get the position before you actually become an employee of Eduhealthcare, how one is encouraged to go for a 1099 independent contractor in order to get the highest salary, but when push comes to shove the salary was essentially the same as the base salary quoted since my benefit counselor was off that day and another counselor filled in.  The hardest part of the job is the anxiety/having to learn yet another computer system, e.g. method of documenting progress, i.e.p.'s etc, learning where students classrooms are, but this is also one of the most enjoyable too- everything is new, but due to previous positions also somewhat familiar.  The counselors at EDU are so supportive and helpful.  When you call someone will respond and follow-up, follow-through is 100% timely, positive, and encouraging.

working in a school environment is always nice if you enjoy that type of setting, working in the clinic or working with children with specific diagnoses is easy to learn and the supervisors are knowledgeable and are helpful even though you're pretty much on your own and have to have guidance through text or phone call.. Unfortunately, there is always a constant rotation of supervisors. Its hard to take time off during the week if you have appointments, are planning vacations or anything personal because they never have staff to cover for you and they expect you to plan things around days when there is no school. They expect you to never miss out on work, if you do have to miss a day you're met with an attitude and no understanding or empathy even if you do give them a month or more of notice. If you never get sick, don't have children and don't have a personal life this is the job for you. Only good thing was the schedule cos its only 6 hour days Monday thru Friday but you might need another job to make up for not having full time hours. 

A typical day involves supporting candidates, coordinating with schools, and staying on top of communication, which keeps the workday fast-paced and engaging. I learned strong organizational skills, multitasking, and how to problem-solve quickly. Management is supportive, responsive, and willing to help when challenges come up. The workplace culture is collaborative and team-oriented, with coworkers who genuinely want to see you succeed. The hardest part of the job is balancing urgent requests during busy periods, but the most enjoyable part is helping candidates secure roles and knowing your work has a real impact on students and schools.

I had a fantastic experience with EDU Healthcare as they recruit EMTs for school nurse positions. The company is highly organized, professional, and genuinely values the important role that EMTs play in providing quality care within educational settings. Their hiring process was smooth and efficient, with clear communication every step of the way.
