I had high hopes for the company upon learning I secured an interview, but unfortunately that was the only time I felt this way.

I was misled in my interview to believe the company was a “work fast and do important things” type of business.  What I experienced was an out of touch leadership pushing AI into everything, without a strategy for any of it.  Being told to do more work with AI, but not explaining how that actually would work, was a repeating theme.

Treatment of employees is abysmal.  You are overworked, given little to no direction, and not provided with the support you need to succeed.  In my first two weeks on the job I did not have access to any software I needed to fulfill the duties of my position, but was constantly asked to do work I could not do.  Nearly four months later I still was lacking the equipment and software required to do my job, despite requesting it multiple times a week from leadership.  You are required to report what you are doing three or more different ways throughout the week, only to be told your department is either “not doing enough” or “we don’t know what your department does.”

Department heads act as though they have not run a company before this, often times asking for things without rhyme or reason.  Requests are last minute, confusing, and contradictory to ones made earlier in the day.  Priorities change by the hour.  What are you working on in the morning can and will change three or four times throughout the day.  This could include a business name, mission, or product.  No one seems to be in charge of anything, and decisions are made without consideration of…well anything.  Projects are cancelled three-quarters of the way through, causing lost time and energy.  Department heads either ignore you when you request information from them to complete a project they requested of you, or talk down to you.

Benefits are nearly non-existent, the healthcare offered is worse than Medicaid.  Meetings are frequent throughout the day and wholly unproductive, then, they spawn more meetings.  You can expect to attend at least 4 hours of meetings or more in any given work day, leaving you little time to get actual work done.  If you even so much as glance at your phone, you will be reported to management by several other employees from other departments who have created a toxic culture of tattling on one another to gain favor with leadership.  There are definitely favorites within the company and its obvious who they are after the first day.

My department was eliminated without warning or explanation, attributed to a “reset.”  There was no effort by leadership to speak to any of us or try to change things.  Please find yourself someplace else to work and pass this company by.

EPIC Health has significant potential, but inconsistent workflows and a lack of alignment between the care model and performance metrics create ongoing operational challenges. Many processes appear reactive rather than standardized, which leads to confusion, inefficiency, and inconsistent expectations across teams and locations.

One major concern is that process improvement often seems driven by only one or two individuals rather than through a transparent, collaborative framework. There is limited visibility into how decisions are made, and frontline providers and staff are not always included in meaningful discussions that affect daily operations. This creates frustration and reduces trust in leadership decisions.

Leadership retention at the upper management level is also concerning. Frequent turnover creates instability, weakens continuity, and makes it difficult to sustain long-term improvement. Stronger collaboration, transparency, and leadership stability are needed for the organization to move forward effectively.

A work environment that attempts to fulfill their motto of serving the underserved by practicing preventative care. If the company had more revenue they would be able to provide more medical services that would promote even more continuity of care. Although, the company is successful at providing additional services to some patients. Not only offering different therapies, but some patients receive RN check-ins for blood sugar or pressure issues. If there were more staffing it would have been the ideal position. If there wasn't such a high demand for speed as each case is dependent on the patient. The only suggestion would be to make appointments with longer time slots to reduce staff burnout, a practice needed anywhere in healthcare currently . 

It was such an inclusive and supportive environment when I first went to start as a medical assistant.  The team of health care providers really cared about their patients and wanted the best for them and would dedicate their day to doing so. I felt like I learned a lot of new skills doing this job and was able to connect with so many new people. Everyone who works there is always very respectful, kind, and hardworking. I really recommend working there whether if it is through a medical position, business position, or any other position. For me, the best part of my job was being able to help the patients. 

I've been with this company for some time now, and I can confidently say it's one of the best places to work. Every day, I feel like I'm making a real difference in the community. Epic's work is very impactful. All locations are kept clean, my colleagues created a welcoming and professional environment, and everyone is genuinely friendly and supportive. There's a strong culture of growth here, with countless opportunities to advance and develop. I always feel like I'm supported by both my team and management. I highly recommend working here for anyone looking for a rewarding career with great people and a positive workplace!








Amazing food and creative campus! They'll teach you many things but it can be a very high learning curve. You can try to ask for help but many people are already quite busy with their own projects and testing. Quality managers now have to manage projects, test logs, and even develop projects now. Your support system depends on how lucky you are as your TLs can have low experience in management and your teammates might be back stabbing on your weak points even though you're really just new and need some time to grow into the job. 

They constantly open locations, and offer absolutely no growth for their MAs. They often hire uncertified MAs… they expect you to do so much for several providers as the turn around for both providers and clinical support staff is so high. They are all about money and overcharging patients for things they don’t do. I do not recommend this place at all. Do not work here unless you’re desperate they promise raises and never follow through. EVER. They don’t deliver on bonuses, and are horrible to their workers. 

Working at Epic has been awesome. The company is patient-focused, and that mindset is reflected in everything we do. We  provide real & unbiased care to every patient who walks through the door. I feel proud of the work we do every day. The culture here is collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven. The entire team, from providers to staff, genuinely cares. As an employee, I feel respected &valued, with opportunities to learn & grow. While every other healthcare company only cares about numbers, Epic is the opposite. Work at Epic if you are looking to have a meaningful impact with your career.

The owners micromanage every detail and dismiss any ideas that aren’t their own, creating an environment driven by control rather than innovation

Here is the honest truth. At first, it seems like a decent company. They are pretty laid back and say they believe in fun etc. However, as time goes on you begin to realize that management says a lot of stuff but does not intend to invest in their employees. There are no raises, they make up excuses for not giving you one, and there is no growth. The offices are a joke, no uniformity no wonder patients aren't swayed to give epic a chance.
