This company is not what they advertise. Present themselves as a "patient focused" mental health company but their bottom line is that they are a business and are more concerned about the numbers than patient care, employee well-being, ethical mental health treatment, etc. 

They do whatever it takes to make money and push to bring as many people in the office as possible-- often at the expense of employee well-being and standards of patient care. Employees at the center level are overworked, underpaid, and asked to meet unrealistic work expectations. Management is highly unprofessional and unsupportive. When issues come up in the workplace it is met with gaslighting, manipulation, and the employee is made to feel they aren't willing to work hard enough.

Company has been expanding exponentially-- constantly implementing new protocols, systems, or workflows with NO FOLLOW UP. These changes are often not fully thought out and are based on ways to increase profit-- not to relieve staff workload or make the patient experience better.  This company only reacts to patient/employee concerns after it has escalated to a larger issue. Everyday it feels like they are just putting out fires or covering up mistakes and staff is constantly concerned about liability issues. 

Workplace culture and attitude is terrible. Healthy work/life balance is not encouraged and instead employees are praised for being workaholics. HIGH BURNOUT and poor mental health seen from long-term employees. Common saying overheard in the office is "everyone does everyone's job". Which really means nobody has set roles, people are not being held accountable for not completing their tasks, and when things don't get done the fault generally falls on the technician for not picking up the slack. 

The only rewarding aspect of this position is the patient interactions. Being able to work daily with people with mental illness and actually see them recover/ come back into themselves is the one thing that makes this job fulfilling. The company often tries to encourage mobility within the company and suggests people try different roles. Do not be fooled, anything outside of the technician role is going to be some version of a sales position. This company's focus is centered on meeting numbers and making a profit than actually providing adequate, appropriate treatment services to the patients.

If you’re not in the click, your not getting A promotion unless you, of course, are a family member or sibling of upper management. You can be a top employee, but if you speak your mind or speak up for yourself and for the team that works under you, they don’t like that. They want to do things their way and they don’t want anyone from the outside interfering. Greenbrook merged with the company that I was previously working for, so I was an outsider to them . The company I worked for was an amazing company and I was well respected and loved by everyone. When Greenbrook came along, I begin to see that they don’t care if I bring 1,000 patients in for treatment, they just want their friends in management positions. They will put inexperienced staff in upper management positions and staff who really deserve promotions will be passed right over. I worked after hours, during my vacations and on weekends because I loved the patients that much and I wanted to get their treatment started asap. I did that on my own and I was in A  salary position so It wasn’t costing the company money.   I literally begin to despise going to work and my mental health was not OK because of the terrible treatment that I received and that others received from this horrible company. Please stay away from this company! I think they have already been bought out again or merged again so their name will change again soon. I know a lot of people probably just think that I’m bitter, but I promise you I’m one of the best employees that anybody could ever have! I go above and beyond for my job and my patients but at the end of the day,  they do not care about that!!! I have never been happier to leave a job in my life! 

DO NOT BE FOOLED!! This company presents themselves as a "patient focused" mental health company. This company's focus is centered on meeting numbers and making a profit. The management makes it pretty clear that they do whatever it takes to make money and push to bring as many people in the office as possible!! Employees are overworked and are asked to meet unrealistic work expectations. This is an EXTREMELY clique environment. People will gossip and stir up trouble. Management is highly unprofessional and unsupportive. There is no 30/60/90 touch point on your job performance, so don’t expect job security! They will lay off anyone at any time. You do not get a sense of accomplishment from management because every day another problem will arise. You will be expected to know/remember every.single.little detail about the doctors schedules/scheduling protocols, and did I mention, WITH VERY LITTLE TRAINING.

During my time at Greenbrook, I have worked in multiple roles. I started off as a consult coordinator where I was able to help patients suffering with their mental health on a daily basis get into a treatment that can literally change their lives, which was very fulfilling and made coming to work every day less of a chore.  After about 15 months I was promoted to a manager, in a management position that did not even exist when I started, a true testament to the growth opportunities if you stick with the company and give it your all. The training was top notch, and management was supportive but never micromanaged us, always giving the employees an opportunity to be autonomous and grow. Every year on my birthday I come to the office to find my desk overflowing with decorations and candy, and once a month all work is shut down for at least an hour so we can do fun team building games. The everchanging healthcare system can make this job stressful at times, but it is all made worth it by the difference we are making in the patient's lives every single day!

Though I enjoyed my position with Greenbrook and the opportunity post graduation. It is clear that this company has a lot of shortcomings that need to be addressed. The vision of the company is strong and it is clear TMS really does help patients. But because of company structure, division of responsibilities, management style, and strong focus on the bottom line, it is easy to feel discouraged. There is little to no opportunity for career advancement or upward mobility, and decisions for internal promotional opportunities are based on favoritism and short sighted ideas of what is best for the company. Management style is weak and sometimes borderline unprofessional. Conflict resolution is shaky and gossip between coworkers is rampant.  But if you are looking for an easy job post college and are hoping to gain some clinical/work experience prior to graduate school, this is the perfect fit. Also be prepared to be underpaid and underappreciated. If you can swallow all of those pills, Greenbrook can be the place for you.

Working as a Coordinator at Greenbrook has been a really positive experience overall. It’s one of the few mental health jobs where you can start with little to no experience and still earn competitive pay, which is a huge plus. There’s also clear upward trajectory, with room to grow and take on more responsibility if you’re looking to build a long-term career. I started as a BHT with no notable experience (besides working in ABA) and i worked hard, and not long later I was already moving up the ladder. 

The work itself can definitely be stressful at times—it’s a fast-paced environment and you’re supporting patients who are going through important mental health treatments—but the team makes a big difference. Communication is strong, and there’s always someone willing to help or step in when needed. The supportive culture helps balance out the challenges and makes the day-to-day work feel meaningful.

Overall, Greenbrook is a great place to work if you want to get your foot in the door in the mental health field, earn good pay, and be part of a team that has your back.

Upon reading the reviews for this company I was very hesitant to take the job but figured it was a challenge I needed. 
Once starting the training was bad… it was their first time training fully virtual but it was all day for weeks straight and too much information at once. One of the girls that’s trained was really sweet, the other was stand offish and not easy to talk to at all. Never once were we checked up on or asked how we were doing during training. They told us the day we would start seeing patients and never asked how we felt. Management doesn’t care. There’s cliques.. everyone is bad mouthing the company from day 1. Lastly, the nepotism is a little unsettling. 
When I put my notice in my managers did not even respond to my email or say anything to me. I was met with an exit interview survey and that was it. 
I would really consider the reviews before taking a job - they are very very accurate. 

I will say that I think this company could truly be amazing with the right management and staff. The work itself is great and the patients are amazing. 

As a hands-on TMS Technician with Greenbrook,the most rewarding part of my position was the time spent with patients, providing direct care.  This was a unique opportunity for  someone with only an undergrad degree.   The physicians I worked with were also supportive and really cared about their cases.  The best part was a lot of patients actually got better!

I also gained a lot of knowledge about the "business" aspects of running a medical office, like dealing with insurance, and making processes that apply to many offices, not just one.  The company is growing, so there are a lot of transitions going on, but there is also support during those transitions.  I thought my manager and team-mates were accessible, knowledgeable, and friendly.  I had to relocate, and resign my position, but I would definitely be interested in working for Greenbrook again if they opened offices in my area.

My coworkers and the providers at the centers were amazing. The environment was friendly and welcoming, and it was very apparent they all cared about their patients. 
Management is a completely different story. There is no job security and they make it very apparent that management does not care whether you succeed or not. There is one regional manager that is in charge of both Oregon and California, which very obviously does not work given the amount of issues that occurred during my time there. Things will be kept from you, and you will be used to fill in wherever they have lacked to provide enough staff for the centers without consideration for you.
If it were not for the way management treated their employees, I would likely have continued to work there. It was very disappointing to see how poorly management for a mental health company treated their own employees.

I really enjoyed the nature of the work. Learning about TMS and treating patients was great for advancing my academic and career goals.

Techs often work alone in the office, rarely with a provider present, which really doesn't seem safe considering technicians don't have any sort of licensure required to administer treatments.

There are few opportunities to grow within this company, especially if you're starting out as a technician. Higher paid positions are few and far between, and most promotions would consist of managerial/administrative tasks, rather than patient care. So if you're passionate about working with patients in a clinical setting, this company may not be the best for long-term work
