This position can be very challenging due to the lack of consistent management support on the floor. During the 90-day nesting period, new employees are expected to learn complex systems while handling live customer calls, but there are often very limited supervisors available to answer questions. In many cases only one or two supervisors were actively responding to agent questions for the entire team, which led to long wait times while trying to assist customers.

Leadership visibility was also limited, and communication between management was often inconsistent. Agents could receive different answers to the same question depending on which supervisor responded, which created confusion and made it difficult to confidently assist customers.

Policies around scheduling, time off, and medical appointments were not always clearly communicated, which caused additional frustration for employees trying to plan ahead. Because of these issues, turnover during the training and nesting period was very high.

The positive aspect of the job was the coworkers and a few supervisors who worked hard to support the team despite the challenges. However, the overall experience would improve significantly with clearer policies, more engaged leadership, and better support coverage for agents handling live calls.

Things have changed a lot with Motivhealth. I believe in the company's mission and support everything Motiv is doing to change the Health Insurance Industry, honestly not a lot of companies do what Motiv is providing, a clear transperancy in healthcare cost. The Owner is a great guy that loves his people and wants to keep us happy, he truly cares but the same cannot be said for those under him. The Operations Department Manager does not understand what the job intels and is non-approachable, thus making it difficult to improve his employee's jobs and resources. The customer service side has very clear favorites, this is the only way you will move up and advance. The supervisors will not fight for their team. If something goes wrong it will always be the teams fault. Praise is not common, so don't expect that here. The only time Management ever reaches out is to let you know you have done something wrong. This use to be a place where you really mattered on the team but now you are just another number on the team and easily replaceable. You will see very quickly that many folks from Customer Service have transferred to different departments even if there is a pay cut involved to work with better leaders. The hardest part of the job would be your leaders and their lack of understanding. The best part of the job is the people you talk too and the pay.

I regret to say that my time at Motivhealth was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with a series of challenges that made my professional journey there far from enjoyable.

First and foremost, the management at this company left much to be desired. Communication was abysmal, and it often felt like we were left in the dark about crucial decisions and changes within the organization. This lack of transparency created an atmosphere of uncertainty and frustration that permeated the entire workplace.

Moreover, the workload was unreasonably heavy, with unrealistic expectations placed on employees. The work-life balance was virtually non-existent.

The workplace culture was toxic, to say the least. Office politics ran rampant, and it often felt like personal connections mattered more than actual skills and qualifications. This led to favoritism and a lack of opportunities for those who didn't fit into the inner circle.

Finally, the compensation and benefits offered were far from competitive. It's disheartening to work tirelessly and not be adequately rewarded for your efforts.


Upper management very personable and really take care of their employees. Supervisors (mine at least) had no time to help you, never talked to you unless you made a mistake. They have point system for attendance, but supervisor was not held to the same standards, and made her own rules as she wanted and lied on written warnings. I actually loved to go to work everyday and working for MotivHealth, they are changing healthcare and stay true to their mission. Awesome pay and benefits as well as yearly and Christmas bonuses. Co workers were great and helpful.

Overall, I've been extremely happy here. MotivHealth's approach to affordable healthcare is very unique. I feel very comfortable working here and appreciate my co-workers. I do feel appreciated and valued for the job I do; many other reviews indicate the opposite, but that has not been my experience. Are there hiccups and issues that arise? Of course, which is true of any workplace; nothing can or will be perfect, but overall, I'm happy. I appreciate the flexibility, the perks, and the team I work with. I have great relationships with other departments as well, and have made many friends here. When we do what's in the best interest of our members, good things happen. 

I have worked at Motiv for almost 7 years. Upper management is amazing. They have a great open door policy. You can speak to anyone from the owner to anyone else at any time and they are open to your comments, concerns and opinions. 
I have always had the best team of people and absolutely the best boss! 
You have never worked for a company that actually cares about not only their employees, but their members so much. 
Motiv has changed and grown a lot since we opened, but those core values still remain. 

The biggest issue in healthcare is that consumers don’t control healthcare decisions. Few know what medical care costs until months after their procedure, and when the bill comes, it’s too complex. It’s very difficult to make smart healthcare decisions, resulting in unmanageable expenses. Insurance premiums for businesses are out of control as a result. We seek to put control back into your hands.

Overall MotivHealth is a super unique and awesome company to work for. There are some growing pains when it comes to cohesion between departments.  There is very knoweldgable leadership and a wonderful vision for what we are trying to acheive in the healthcare enviroment.  One place I feel could use some major work is more decisve raises and path for personal growth, as of current there are oppurtunities to move up but they are not definitive and a real path for promoition and raises would be extremely beneficial.

Some days are a total shitshow. Other days it could be fun. I have a problem with all the nepotism and Mormon culture. Management was constantly changing, and not always for the better. The hardest part of the job is the CEO doesn't have a clue how health insurance works, but he wanted to change it for the better. But, over time, he just became like all the other insurance companies out there. It's about the money, not the customer. 

When I first started, it was a small company. It was great because I was able to learn a lot of things. As it's gotten bigger, it's been a bit more intense of a work environment. Starting to feel like a number rather than a part of the team. A lot of management turnover has been happening as of late which is somewhat worrisome. Because some of those people had been here for a long time. 

Compensation could be better.
