Pax8 is a gem of a company to work for, everyone looks out for one another and in the years I have been at Pax8, I have never seen someone step on someone to move up. Then again, those types of personalities don't fit well into the culture. 

The two main things that take away from Pax8 are, if you are an experienced Cloud Engineer or Manager of Cloud teams moving above 100,000 becomes challenging and dreadful.  Even though I have 6 years of managing experience, and 12 of IT. I was told I don't have enough experience for the salary I asked for. Despite it being laid out I did. Now this is not by my boss, but our "Total Rewards". Routinely seeing pay for other jobs in the $130,000-$150,000 range is disheartening and if it wasnt for the culture and work life balance I may consider moving on. 

Hearing about sales people who are regularly looking for assistance from the IT team, but are making anywhere from 150,000-200,000 a year is also disheartening. Especially when their title's do not line up with industry standard, and make them appear as experienced consultants while most are "just" sales people. 

However, beyond that. The people, company, and culture are top notch. 

Pax8 is easily the worst place I have ever worked. If you want cut throat, Game of Thrones-esque nonsense in your day-to-day, sign that job offer. The marketing department in particular was awful because the leadership gave next to no support, was always pointing fingers, and was consistently lying about their intentions. I filed for unemployment after leaving this department for the sake of my mental health. In their investigation, the federal unemployment office found the workplace to responsible for the toxic environment. Steer clear. 

Overall a great sales floor team. Great culture, the best place to work and rewarding work at times. However, the work can also be boring and mundane and not as challenging as I hoped. But compensation makes up for it.
Upper management and c-suite are the best leaders you could ask for. Lower management is mediocre. Lots of opportunities to learn and get promoted. 

Pax8- while having a promising future it seems to be suffering from the results of mismanagement and rapid growth. Leadership is too disconnected from the frontline to really ever get a full understanding of the business, and a LOT of things are falling through the cracks (Employees included).

While i enjoyed my time there, i would not recommend any experience Tech individual work for them.

Pax8 wants you to believe it's going to advance your IT career but in reality its a glorified call center. Pax8 is cdw but for MSP, all you do is sit on a phone all day answering questions for the MSP who got lied too from the sales reps at pax8 to begin with. This company is criminal and shouldn't be allowed to run its pyramid scheme. 

There has been some growing pains as with most companies who grow this quickly. 

Some of these could be avoided however they do have a true vision for the overall company and goals. The management is great one on one. The hardest area is working remote they tend to shove you to the other side and forget your their and the importance/overall understanding you can bring.

There is an overall disconnect between employees and Management. Unrealistic goals set for employees, awful people skills from managers, and unfair pay-scale. The company is being run as if it is still a brand new Start-up when they are clearly not and that does not seem to be changing anytime soon. 

Pros:
-They keep you in the loop regarding company "goals."
-It's fast pace.

Cons:
-Flexible PTO is a loose term as there ARE a set number of days you can have off.
-Management does not listen to their employees and will see you as a problem if you speak up.
-This is not your place if you aren't a "yes" person.
-It's fast pace.
-Management DOES play favoritism.

There is an attitude of self-entitlement among many employees.  Some managers lack people skills and should not be managers. The pay is drastically low. The general direction of the company is unclear.

Very woke, immature management, high turnover, training is way too long, and the worst part is mandatory team meetings at the start and end of every shift, which are nine (9) hour days.
