Typically a Day in my shift as a duty officer is more often then none pretty calm unless there is an emergency.I work on the weekends 3-11pm so much of the daily hustle and bustle is over except for dinner checks and locking doors.Working there i have learned how to deal with many people and how to deal with not only the changing moods of the residents but the staff as well.The management team there is awesome and make my job lots of fun.The Hardest part of the job is when residents whom i have built a relationship with get sick or pass away because i truly enjoy talking and conversing with them while at work.the most enjoyable part of my job is knowing that my sheer presence there and interaction with them no matter how invasive or indirect brings them joy and makes there day that much better everytime i see them

What is the best part of working at the company?
Dealing with and seeing the appreciation on the faces of the residents. When you assist them or complete a task for them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There’s really no unbearable level of stress working here. It’s a pleasant experience and the co workers are easy to get along with. And willing to Off assistance and work alongside one another.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family Friendly and open, calm and pleasant.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fast paced, constantly changing.

Where do I begin, this was one of the easiest jobs I have ever had but at the same time it was pointless and very unorganized ,I found my self doing any and everything (and I mean any and everything thing 😂) but actually working , management and employees always have drama and you will hear about it because people here love to talk so be careful of what you do, Also Management can be very disrespectful and they don’t care about they employees that’s why the turnover rate here is so high but if you can get past that, you love drama and not doing anything and getting a easy pay check this is the job for you 

The staff, management, client, and residents were mostly very pleasant and enjoyable to work with. The only downside was the nature of a eldercare community. You get to meet, get to know, form a relationship with the residents. Then watch them debilitate and dwindle away.

The job was very unorganized and there was so much negativity. They don’t treat their employees with respect at all and it’s not beneficial at all. They would often change the schedule randomly and it was very inconsiderate. They would often reuse food as well. Supervisors would often talk about other employees not only in dietary, but in other parts of the building in disrespectful ways. It’s not even worth the little pay the employees receive.

I loved working at Pickersgill. I still miss working with the team of really fun, dedicated professionals.  These people care about their residents like family. 

There was a lack of communication between management members.  There were existing conflicts regarding work ethics in the management department before I was employed.  This environment was not a conducive example of a healthy work environment.

I've definitely worked for worse places. Overall pretty good company to work for. The biggest issue right now is staffing especially on the weekends. 

I had a blast working there. The environment is definitely a work hard, play hard one. The most enjoyable part is assisting the residents and helping online. The culture is nice as well, it goes pretty slow then it typically speeds up. The workload and it gives you lots of experience.

good facility, i would see co workers often treat residents nasty or they wouldnt do there job. the management was poor they barely sat down & conversed with team about problem that were happening.. residents offten complained
