In this role, my primary responsibility was reaching out to patients to inform them about preventative health exams. It was a desk-based position that mainly involved phone communication and navigating patient records within an EMR system. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and became proficient in using a different EMR platform.

Given the high volume of calls, I developed strong communication skills and learned how to adapt to a wide range of personalities and scenarios. However, the work environment was extremely quiet, with minimal interaction among team members. Sitting for eight hours a day, performing repetitive tasks, could feel monotonous at times—although the job itself offered stability.

What ultimately made the experience challenging was the leadership. The CEO's inconsistent behavior created a confusing atmosphere—being warmly greeted one day and completely ignored the next. When I faced health issues and needed to take several sick days, I was reprimanded. Upon requesting to review the attendance policy or employee handbook, it took over two weeks and multiple follow-ups to receive a response. I was told the CEO didn’t “have access to those files,” which raised significant concerns about transparency and accountability.

For a company in the healthcare field, the lack of empathy toward employees dealing with health issues was disappointing. The organization seemed more focused on maintaining output than supporting the well-being of its staff.

Overall, it was a learning experience, but the company culture ultimately made it an unsustainable long-term fit.

I really enjoyed working directly in the care center and gained a lot of hands-on experience. The providers I worked with were supportive and great to learn from, which made a big difference in my day-to-day experience.

There were some challenges on the administrative side that could be improved, but overall it was a good learning experience. I’m now looking to grow in an environment with more structure and long-term opportunities.

Primary PartnerCare is a place that foster growth and independence.  I have the opportunity  to collaborate  with 100+ physicians and assist them with managing the welfare of a diverse patient population. Though not a traditional setting for patient interaction, as a nurse, I am still able to make a difference by telephonic follow up after hospitalization and ensure that the line of communication between patient and doctor remain consistent. Compared to working in a hospital setting, the knowledge and experiences gained from working for this company,  has surpassed my expectations in many ways. I have a better understanding of the impact that primary care physicians make everyday and how they assist with the transformation of patients lives through health maintenance  and disease prevention.  The CEO and Medical Director are very insightful about what it takes to propel independent practitioners to the next level to ensure that healthcare beneficiaries continue to have high quality care and decreased hospitalization rate. Prior to working for this company, I had no knowledge of how I would make a difference working in a non traditional nursing/medical setting. Being curious minded and open to new ideas, I am now a part of an organization that is transforming patients lives and physician practices.

I have been affiliated with this company since 2014 in multiple capacities and because it a small company have had the opportunity to work closely with both their CEO and Medical Director. On a daily basis they display a high level of integrity and genuine concern for their member doctors and their patients. Jointly, their knowledge of the healthcare industry and continued dedication to keeping up with the many changes serve to keep member doctors informed and alleviate their pressure to understand what is required in order to remain compliant. I have learned so much working here and enjoy the relationships that have been developed with both the doctors, staff and patients. If you are looking for a position where you can develop an accurate understanding of the ever changing healthcare industry while helping others achieve success this company might be a good match for you.

Working here while attending college and company is great. I learn more here than I do in my masters program! When I started the company had around 20 employees and now its 150 which is big growth and success. The company has a lot of very smart people focused on improving health care and helping the doctors. COVID really showed me who this company is and what it values. We first went remote and through the entire experience we helped the doctors and the patients.The CEO got on calls everyday with us and asked how we were doing and the focus was positive. I was proud to be on the team. The first month we called all the patients so they would know how to reach their doctor. Then we got masks when they were unavailable and doctors were risking their lives. I learned about the different loans and grants the government gave. Now things are calmed down and we are growing and helping the doctors make up for the lost COVID year.

I would not recommend that some one works there. The employees in office are nice people. Unfortunately the management is not respectful of their employees. Management is very unclear with the tasks, the EMR is archaic, and management does not really seem to understand how their own EMR works or what patient case management really is and what is needed to succeed. Management does a horrible job at communicating and I witnessed a few people get fired in my short time there. This is not the place to work if you are trying to have a steady job. One that you can rely on to be there tomorrow. There is no job stability. And things are very unorganized. Its unfortunate because the goal and the mission of the company is truly a good idea. But when management is this unorganized and does not value good healthy communication the organization suffers. 

Work with team of coordinators, nurses and practice managers to help support private doctor practices. Watched company grow from small executive space to large premium space on expensive Northern Blvd, sharing address with Northwell, NYU and Mount Sinai. We are one of few NY ACOs to make shared savings. The team at Primary PartnerCare never stops helping us and our patients. Our patients rave about our nurses at PPC. 

PPC listens to its doctors. Unfortunately one RN had to be let go after doctors repeatedly complained about how she spoke to doctors. Looks like she continues to try to trash the company on social media since she was let go, blaming CEO instead of doctors.

This employer is not one you want to work for. I live in Suffolk and during my interview was told I would not float to Nassau. I was also told that I would be reimbursed for travel. The week after I started I was placed in Nassau. The following week I was placed in an office with absolutely no one there but myself. They didn’t have anyone there to train me. I literally just had to figure it out. This place is not professional at all. They do not know whether they are coming or going. They have some really good associates which is unfortunate because they are not employed by the best company. Do NOT waste your time coming here unless it’s just a stepping stone towards something bigger and better.

A warm and friendly office environment located in the heart of the north shore of Long Island.  Training was thorough and effective.  Questions and concerns are addressed without fear of repercussions.  I've learned how to enhance my communication skills and computer literacy with Excel.  Workplace culture is welcoming and professional.  The hardest part of my job has been figuring out how to think outside of the box for solutions.  The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing I contribute to making a difference in the lives of our patients.

There is a lot to learn at Primary PartnerCare. The management staff always makes time to teach their employees the proper way to attack the Healthcare system and how we are bettering it. There are plenty of celebrations, one being monthly birthday parties. Friendly co-workers that are willing to help you succeed. It's a great place to get your networking as Primary PartnerCare is linked to many of the doctors in New York. Don't doubt it because people could not keep up with what the job requires you to do. If you are serious about your career, this is the place to be.
