Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator
Long-Term Care Facility – New York

$50,000 – $75,000 a year

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator to support financial operations and Medicaid processes in a long-term care setting in New York. This role is responsible for Medicaid eligibility, billing, and reimbursement, along with day-to-day business office functions.

The ideal candidate understands NY Medicaid, is organized, and can manage multiple cases while working with residents, families, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Medicaid Eligibility & Intake

Manage Medicaid applications from start to approval
Work with residents and families to collect and submit documentation
Follow up with Medicaid offices and track application status
Review financials to support eligibility

Billing & Reimbursement

Submit claims accurately and on time
Monitor payments and resolve denials or discrepancies
Handle Medicaid Managed Care enrollment and follow-up

Business Office Operations

Oversee daily business office workflows
Help improve collections and cash flow
Support and supervise business office staff

Compliance & Reporting

Maintain accurate records
Ensure compliance with all regulations
Assist with audits and reporting

Qualifications

1+ year of experience in Medicaid, billing, or nursing home business office
Strong knowledge of NY Medicaid
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and billing systems
