They care more about pushing their “political” agendas on staff and patients than the human themselves. Family friendly atmosphere left with the previous administrator. The “wanna be” who is currently filling in has killed that atmosphere and has made it even worse with bringing in a corporate HR. Rules and policies are enforced as a pick and choose like some high school cliche. The staff in all departments is a continually revolving door. Even with the providers. Front office staff are looked down upon and are the least appreciated of all departments. Treated as such too. Nursing would be second. The two departments having the worst turnover. Staff meetings are useless they don’t take anything said in them and try to remedy situations. Hostile atmosphere. 

The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the children and all the families that come into the office. Most of our families are so welcoming and friendly that it makes the work day better. Staff is also very friendly and welcoming. When you first start you get taken out for a lunch and given work goodies as a nice welcome. I have been at the company for 3 years now and I still love being a part of the team. I used to be part of the front office as a patient care representative. Recently I have moved over to the nursing team and an M.A.  Some days are challenging but pcpeds is a good company to work for and they do care for their employees. 

Used to be a great/comfortable place to work until the former leadership left. Current management really needs to be reconsidered by this company. Harassment/retaliation is tolerated and isn’t addressed properly. Communication is awful. Always short staffed, yet people are terminated for petty things more often than should be. They make financial cuts to hourly positions, but deem it necessary to have an HR manager (wasted money and there for corporate type intimidation) for a clinic that’s not connected to a hospital. 

since joining this company 7 years ago I have made advancements and have seen the company grow. They do a great job at supporting a work/life balance for their employees, encourage collaboration and teamwork, and are dedicated to developing their employees. They take paint points that are experienced and feedback as improvement opportunities. 

•	Utilized the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to look up a variety of visits/procedures and payments by patient /insurance company
•	Responsible for checking in patients, collecting co-pays, ensuring insurance information is accurate, posting co-pays and payments
•	Answering the telephones and setting up appointments
•	Securing follow-up appointments as needed
•	Follow-up telephone calls and appointment reminder call

There's always something to do; front office employees cross-trained so you can help out wherever needed.
Management is still growing and figuring out the best ways to accommodate the practice.
Hardest part of the job is dealing with insurance companies.

I loved the kids, and families. They were the main reason I went to work. 
Bosses are clueless, it’s definitely not a family oriented place like it was when I started. 
They let the good workers go for pity excuses, and keep the bad ones. 

You have your set of mean girls and the rest of you are nothing. Poor management and lack of respect for home life did it for me. They expect you to get them everything. It is unattainable. I would pass on this one.

a different type of job with instead of working with the elderly I was able to work with infants and children and there parents. was interesting and a change from long term care

Great people. Just such fast growing. Seems like front office will always need more employees. You will like all the benefits, though and make good relationships.
