When they are unsure who will do the work, the ASE's are given the work. There's a demand to do more things than tools or time is provided. They believe that AI will make employees "better", and increased AI resources. As many quit or were terminated, the head count was not restored, and each day a crushing load is waiting for people. 

They have cycled through a lot of management and upper manager people. Many of them started things without details being in place. It has left a trail of chaos and uncertainty for day-to-day operations. Many started projects and reorganizations of people and departments. 

In a day you will have queue calls 5-10 of them. You will be assigned web cases 3 - 8 of them, and you will have limited time to work on any of them. You will also be expected to work on cases already assigned to you and rank priority based on how much the company pays and urgency of the issue. You will have multiple places to ask for help but they are siloed based on the platform. Many of those places may or may not respond to you. Even internal departments will not respond if you do not have a high enough title. 

Working at RingCentral used to be great 3yrs ago, but it has become a nightmare since. When stock prices fell, instead of cutting travel and luxury expenses, they have been cutting down on staff and forcing employees to do the jobs of 3-4 people each. RingCentral is slowly eliminating employee benefits (with a new one gone or reduced every couple of months), they have gutted any DEI programs, and will lay you off without warning or fair compensation. New employees are paid less and are prioritized for layoffs. When I left, employees were getting hospitalized from the high work-load, discrimination,  and stress they were enduring. I don't know how to clearly communicate how bad it is, you will be held to work standard impossible for any human and penalized at every turn.  Upper management is incompetent and is only interested in protecting their vacation fund. RingCentral might have been a great place to work at one point, but now it is a living nightmare. Do not apply here unless you don't mind being severely overworked and hospitalized unless the company goes completely under first. 

I was responsible for the relationship between RingCentral and the Carrier. It was my job to create how it would run, what it would look like, and driving revenue at the same time.

I managed 4 B2B Sales channels; Dealer, Field (outside sales), National Inside Sales and Business Customer Care (call center). I was tasks to work within these channels to drive revenues, build marketing material, and ensure that RingCentral Implementation team was abel to asset the carrier with "First time right" philosophy.

I have enjoyed every avenue of my experience with RingCentral. I have learned so much, working with a silicon valley company, getting experience with USA companies, and built the relationship with the carrier that I was responsible for. I can't wait to see what's next.

It is amazing to work with such an innovative company that have fast growth and welcomes new challenges. I have nothing bad to say about working for them as it was all truly amazing.

A typical day at work includes internal and external meetings, working on account reviews, resolving disputes and it gets more busy during month end close and year end close. The good part of it is I was able to accomplish all the task on hand and still be able to assist other team members when they need help. Our team works very well with each other. And even with our busy schedule at work, we still manage to have social life within the office or with our off-site team outings. The company also provides great wellness program, including discounted chair massage to name a few. We have good perks in the office like free food, on-site gym, yoga and boot camp classes, valet parking. The management is clearly looking after the well being of the employees. They are ensuring that the employees are well taken cared off.

Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Ever since I first signed up they have obviously changed the way they handle customer service. Originally they had their own call center with staffed agents. Then I started noticing situations where they had "level" techs. These were basically glorified secretaries that took all your information, said pretty words and then transferred to someone who dealt with the issue. It was inconvenient and time consuming but it wasn't a horrible experience. Now when you call it is straight up a call center reading off a script. They have no idea what the product even is and they just try to help you by pointing out the website FAQs or telling you something they are reading off a piece of paper. They are trained so horribly that you can actually detect the timing when they are reading off the paper. Horrible customer service.

Great technology but this place has a very hostile work environment. They provide free food a few days a week but that is so you will get your food and go back to your desk and keep working. The company hires experienced sales people and promises big money and promotions but there are already 40 people ahead of you who have been there for years trying to get the same one or two new roles that open up from year to year. Some managers are great and experienced and some are very young and have little ability to manage people and set legitimate expectations. The company is doing well despite many of the internal problems. The majority of the employees are actively looking for new opportunities.

The days can be long with meetings starting around 8 a.m. Pacific and maintenance windows starting around 7 p.m. Pacific.   There is a diverse, mixed culture here which is cool but has some limitations.  The development team largely exists in St. Petersburg, RU.  That puts them about ten hours or so ahead of their US counterparts which means the day could start earlier and run later depending on what's going on.  There's also a bit of a language barrier which, combined with egos and everyone being the smartest person in the room, can lend to long and sometimes, tense meetings.  There's no shortage of work but the work there is is only really challenging because training is nearly non-existent. It is literally OJT in a complex environment and changing fast.

Worked onsite and remotely for a few years. People that worked here were great, some great managers, some not so great. Unfortunately a lot of leadership changes caused a roller coaster when it came to policies and company goals and performance. Leadership needs to try to be consistent and reward the employees who invest their time in the company. Surface level pay and benefits were great but the underlying support from the top down was non existent. Growth opportunities were often promised with no follow through. Asked to do a lot of job functions that were not a part of job description because they laid off so many individuals over years.

the management team has been getting very organized, and have risen to the task of controlling so many employees

The workplace culture is a great mix of creative, meaningful friendships, and management fosters a strong sense of company pride

the hardest part of this job is advancing. Everyone who works here wants to be the best, and getting ahead means working smarter, not harder.
